As the social fabric of life in rural India disintegrates in the late 1990s, journalist Manav Banerjee (Sharman Joshi) moves with his pregnant wife to the State of Orissa in hope of a better life and the promise of a lucrative career. When speculation mounts that local Australian missionary Graham Staines (Stephen Baldwin) is illegally proselytizing leprosy patients, Manav agrees to investigate undercover for the newspaper. What he finds is a series of revelations that are difficult to fathom and even harder to explain, and Manav is forced to make a choice between his own ambition and the truth. In the end, his actions spark a tragic event that is felt around the world. Based on a true story and shot on location in India, The Least of These beautifully illustrates the power of love, hope and forgiveness to overcome hate.Bonus Content:The Heart of the StoryRavi Zacharias, Shari Rigby and Krish Dhanam Discuss The Least of These Audience Reactions The Making of The Least of These]]>

Powerful, humbling and inspiring
I watched this to learn more about what the leprosy colonies experienced. And learned so much more, and saw again the reminder of the love that only God provides. My faith was strong before I watched this story; and my faith deepened as a result of this movie. Must watch. Am going to purchase so that I can share.

It is a tale of courage, endurance, forgiveness and love
I remember the actual event, I was in my final year at high school. The initial reports did not give us the impression that Mr. Staines' children were minors. The news traveled fast through the English media channels and before we knew it, we had all moved on to other things. To be fair, it was later covered in depth in various magazines. Missionary work is something that people wedded to the secular world have trouble understanding. Why would anyone feel the need to abandon a comfortable life in a developed country to live and die in an underdeveloped corner of India? A broiler plate answer I hear from many Indians is 'to convert poor people'. Which is not really an answer. If you did it for gold, oil or timber the benefit is tangible and speaks for itself.I had no frame to understand the actions or the motivations of the Staines family, I could in fact relate more to the Hindu fundamentalists who were upset by the whole murder because of the ill repute it brought them, but still felt he was asking for it. That he was doing wrong was obvious to them and according anyone who understands that is thinking right according to them. It is a fact that Indians tend to rely more on social norms rather than their own conscience to set their moral compass. This movie is about setting your moral compass to Christ through the simple living and high thinking of this family living in the outskirts of Odisha. If you are driven to transform India for Christ after watching this movie, find a reliable organization you can support. 'Mission India' is my favorite. Help more Indians set their moral compass to Jesus.

A good example of Great Controversy between Jesus Christ and Satan
It's a great witness to the people of India that Jesus Christ is a living Man and God at the same time who bridged Heaven and this devastated planet earth. The proof is in the sincere followers of Jesus Christ. God provided enough witnesses to this incidence and the court acquitted the brother Graham and family. Praise God for courageous and unselfish Staines family. May millions of Indians receive the gift of salvation.

Very touching story of a man's service to mankind.
The movie was good but it was hard to understand all they were saying because of their strong accents.

ok at best
This could have been a great movie. Bad acting and kind of poorly written. The story itself is compelling. Sad to see yet another religious movie done with a low budget and very little talent.

Amazing share God’s love
I’m a missionary kid and so missions is my heart! Loved the way the kids just became apart of this culture! Was a terrible tragedy but I am amazed at his wife and daughter who did not allow pain hurt and or forgiveness to deter them from sharing God
