Nice Leash
Nice leash. I'm a little suspect of the strength of the paddle connection -I think a *really* strong tug could tear it (Made of a fiber reinforced rubber sheet) -but overall great quality and build. Looks nice too. Great for flat water for sure. In the surf I might want a little more robust paddle connection. I should say that I paddle a surf ski and normally don't wear a leg leash -I just hold on to the paddle if I take an unexpected swim -and thereby remain attached to the boat as well. However, If (like most users) all you're expecting this leash to do is keep your paddle attached to the boat then this thing will be more than strong enough I'd say.

It's a paddle leash!
Well, it doesn't make soup, or produce the power of an outboard motor, but it's a paddle leash... and it does that in spades. It seems to handle beach sand in the velcro decently well, and I've found it to dry quickly, and not smell like funk.I haven't been paddling with a tow line on my local lake for quite some time, but found my self in need of a tow line the other day. This leash actually performed admirably. Its not really stiff enough to act as a cowtail, but once it stretches out, it does okay as a tow (albeit a short one).I've been happy with it.

does its job
A paddle leash's job is to not lose the paddle. This works wonderfully. It also has a long enough cord so that I'm not straining to use the full extension of the paddle and I'm not getting my legs caught up in it. It's attractive, durable, easy to clean, and dries fast. When using the velcro portion of the leash on the paddle, I had problems with it rotating around which would then start wrapping the leash around the paddle. I'm not sure why this happened. I decided to switch it so that the looser portion was on my paddle, rather than tied to the boat, and it has enough room to freely move around.

Durable leash with perfect length
Leash works great for a kayak paddle, canoe paddle, or anything similar you don't want to lose. The material dries easily and thus avoids getting a mildew smell, just make sure you let it dry. It is fairly durable, and I would be comfortable testing it on more extreme rapids. Admittedly I have NOT gotten to do that yet, but I would trust it. The least is long enough that it's not restrictive and you barely notice its presence. I used it to anchor my kayak to the dock over night and it held up fine. Wasn't overstretched or anything. Completely satisfied. Will update if problems arise next season.

Light, flexible leash you’ll hardly know is there
I have a Harmony Gear plastic sheathed coil leash also. This one is much lighter and flexible and I prefer it over the other one. Sea to Summit makes great products. I have a lot of other items from them and love them all.
