Found myself recently in a bit of a situation with diverticulitis (small pouch in digestive track)Although it's said this doesn't generally turn into something worse = it can.> THIS product along with 2 others have made a Hugh difference to ease the painand start a feeling of well being and a little peace of mind.I found Slippery elm (among others) said to be good for soothing irritated tissueand promotes healing. There are better formulations for calcium supplementation. One capsule has only 125 mg thus the recommendation on their label to take 2 tablets three times a day for a daily dose of 750 mg. At that rate the bottle of 120 capsules will only last 20 days.The other component D-gluconate is purported to aid with hormonal imbalance (from a quick google search it may have an anti-estrogen affect), "liver detox" among other claims. I'm not going to comment on those claims except to say that as a calcium supplement it might be something to consider if you can't tolerate other formulations, but to ask your doctor first if this is something you should take. The capsules themselves are very easy to swallow, but I would not personally want to take 6 capsules a day when there are other options.

Reviewing vitamins and other over the counter items are a difficult task. Take vitamins for example, I’m taking them because they were recommended by my doctor after he gave some tests and decided that I needed certain supplements. Between vitamins and RX medications I’m taking around 15 different things a day. This makes it impossible for me to give an accurate opinion on the ability of the item helping me or not. So all I can say is check with a medical professional on what supplemental medications may be of use to you and avoid ones that aren’t recommended. I have to admit, at first glance I thought I was ordering standard calcium supplements in capsule form rather than those hard to swallow big tablets. In fact, however, Calcium D-Glucarate is not really a good source of calcium, as it’s barely contains 125 mg of calcium. (So I have to keep swallowing those big tough tablets, I guess.)The 1000mg of Calcium D-Glucarate breaks down into mostly glucaric acid which is beneficial for ridding the body of excess toxins and even hormones. Sometimes while consuming high fat low fiber diets, excess hormones like estrogen & androgen get reabsorbed into the body instead of eliminated. Too much estrogen can cause symptoms like bloating, fibroids & heavy periods. Too much androgen can be a source of hair loss. So if supporting liver detoxification or relieving PMS symptoms or reducing hair loss caused by hormone build up is important to you, then Calcium D-Glucarate might be an important supplement for you.Piping Rock supplements are a trusted brand that uses no artificial colors, ingredients or preservatives. The capsules are non GMO, and free from dairy, soy & gluten as well. The bottle contains a two month supply if you take the recommended 2 per day. Though the instructions also say you can take them up to 3X a day. I find the quick release capsules absorb in about 15 minutes without any bad tasting after burps or upset stomach. I have not had any issues during the last month I have been taking them. Personally, I am very happy to have found another way to fight hormonal hair loss.
