translation issue?
I had a really difficult time with deciphering certain areas of text. I don’t know if it’s poor editing, poor spelling or translation mistakes but it was difficult to read in places. Otherwise good info.

Not really a coherent book.
I’m not sure what happened here. I can’t believe this was actually published and sold. There are some reasonably good bits of information, but it’s put together in bits and pieces that don’t make sense. There’s a heading in one section that’s titled “financial statement”— it had absolutely nothing to do with the information that followed. Much of the book is put together that way. Lots of information on rare breeds and the pictures are in black-and-white. I expected something organized and perhaps with color photos. I should have looked elsewhere. I guess the good news is that there’s hope for essentially anyone who wants to publish a book!

Please let them be "english be their second language"!
Hilarious trying to interpret the meaning of such statements as "be sure there are no falls in (water, other places) I believe they mean droppings as in fecal matter, poop, whatever. I kept on reading though as the information was useful even though there is no doubt I simply missed some nuggets. Next time through will be better. I can't wait to get to beekeeping. All kidding aside, good info that may keep me from getting chickens. Lice, mites, ticks and worms! Oh no!

No.
Had good info if you could follow it... there were pages to repeat. There were incomplete sentences. There was promised “we’ll show you how” (what?! Did someone transcribe a video)Order yourself another book.

Ignore this book
This book is the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. It is supposed to be a chicken book, but it accidentally says ducks and dogs sometimes. Many repeated sentences and literally paragraphs at a time. For another example of how bad this is, page 56 is titled, "HOW COLD IS TOO COLD FOR BACKYARD CHICKENS". The first 2 sentences of this chapter are, 1) How hot is it for chickens in the backyard?" (Notice I said it says hot). The second sentence reads, "Below freezing, below zero, when it's too warm for me, there are all responses I've learned." WHAT???? I looked and there is no publisher. This is absolutely pathetic. If you're thinking about getting a copy, I will send you mine for free. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!!!!

Wasted time and money!! Don’t buy.
What a terribly written book. The information supplied in this book is incomplete, there are paragraphs duplicated in multiple sections and subject titles that do not match the information it follows. I’m not sure if it was a blog at one point, or was written originally in a different language, but the information they are trying to pass along doesn’t work correctly or fluidly. The sentences become confusing and the wording often doesn’t fit and is incomplete of information. I’m really unhappy with this book. I don’t recommend to anyone who has a higher education than grade 1 reading level and comprehension to waste their time and money with this book.

Poorly edited
This book is so poorly edited I wonder if anyone even proof read it. Pages of info are repeated, and at times it is difficult to make sense of what the author is even trying to say. I was hoping for a solid go-to-book of chicken advice, but I am not sure trusting an author/publisher who can't even edit effectively is in the best interest of my chickens' survival. I like to have books since they are usually more reliable than web-based info... but certainly not in this case. I would have been better off searching my questions up with a search engine. Save yourself the money, and do that instead -- or try a different book.

So poorly written it was funny.
OMG. My bad! I should have read the reviews before buying this ?book? Whomever wrote this book certainly did not even proof read it. The mistakes are numerous and can be downright funny at times and infuriating at others. It does have some useful information so I do not feel it was a complete waste of money. The entertainment value, of how poorly it was written, made me laugh.

Do not buy
Absolutrly horribly written, I wish I read the other reviews before buying this. It was inexpensive but just not worth it at all. Very disappointed.
