Mostly great
Definitely love this bottle, my only gripe is that the rubber band used to flip the bottle quickly lost its strength, but the rest of the bottle is great.

from the crappy plastic water bottles with the "squirt" top you might ...
Note: The review is specifically for the 24 ounce containers, and does not apply to the X-Wing bottle that is currently available.I have used a lot of containers for water of the years, from the crappy plastic water bottles with the "squirt" top you might see in a gym, to Camelbak's bottles, and even blender bottles when the previous containers broke, so believe me when I say this is Tritan is the container you've been looking for. It's got everything, from a key-ring hook that makes it easy to attach to a backpack or even just carry with a single finger when your hands are full, to a sturdy construction that will survive anything you throw at it.Pros:The lid screws on tight, yet easily. The lid is not only easy to screw on, but easy to screw on straight, for lack of a better word. It's not one of those lids that can be screwed on at an angle or to the side, requiring you to untwist the lid and try again for a good fit, when you put on lid to the Tritan, it goes on perfectly level and turns with ease. The rubber-like surface that makes up the bottom half of the lid gives you a good grip which also makes it just as easy to twist it off as it is easy to twist on.The top half of the lid can undone with only one hand, and yet is secure enough to handle falls when properly secured. The light grey latch can be easily pushed down with your thumb, but won't pop off if the container happens to fall. The dark grey button that is surrounded by the latch is also easy to push down with your thumb, giving you easy access to your water without the need to grab and fiddle around with the bottle. The lid is easy to re-secure with only one hand. When you are done drinking, the top half of the lid can be popped back with only an index finger, and the latch secured with your thumb. The key-ring at the back makes it easy to carry.'nuff saidThe Tritan doesn't get that off taste if water is left in the container for a few days.Obviously you should wash your container often to keep mold from growing, but I can say with certain that you can leave water in this thing for a few days and not worry about having to deal with a funny taste.Cons:If the key-ring is all the way up, the lid won't come up enough to let you drink. Really this is a minor issue, and can be solved by shaking the container lightly until the lip flaps all the way out, or by just pushing on the lid until the same effect is achieved. The button and the latch are a bit stiff when you first use the product. Again just a minor issue, one that will resolve over time. All in all, I recommend the Tritan over any product if you're looking for a solid and easy to use water bottle.

Possibly the best water bottle
I originally got turned onto the 0.75 liter version:https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EGGQB6/but wanted a 1L version for the gym and hiking. I was happy to find these and like them better than the 0.75L version. I bought 2 of each size and highly recommend both.Pros:- Wide mouth bottle for easy filling and cleaning, spout for easy drinking- The lid is very nicely designed so that it never leaks or opens accidentally despite having the spout. Ok... it has opened accidentally when it fell off my bike, but that's an extreme case.- All four bottles have, when full, fallen off my bike onto pavement and none of them cracked. The 0.75L ones had the latching mechanism break after the falls and I had to throw one away, but the 1L version (this product) still operate fineCons:- This product doesn't fit in my car's cup holder or my laptop bag's water bottle/umbrella compartment (the 0.75L size does). The very bottom is narrow enough to fit into my cup holder, so I can get it to sit on top of the cup holder but not slide in.- The straight sides mean that elastic bottle holders (for example, on the sides of my backpack or on the back of my bicycle trunk bag) don't grip it well and it slides out easily. The only water bottle I've owned that didn't have this problem was hourglass shaped.- The odd-shaped lid adds some extra volume, so it takes up a little extra space inside a bag than, say, a 1L Nalgene bottle.- One of the two 1L bottles had the lid's hinge break during normal use after about 6 months, but to my surprise I glued it back together and it's held for a very long time.

Great!
I was looking for an inexpensive 24+ floz bottle and this one works great. I really like it, I take it almost everywhere. To classes and work, even carry it around the house. I usually put my pinky through the loop it has and hang it there while taking it everywhere with me. Forces me to drink water and stop drinking sugared beverages. I like the quality as well. Other bottles I've purchased in the past usually last me about a month before they break (like the cap breaks or wont close). I've had this for a good two months and I'm liking it a lot. Most likely will be purchasing a backup, wanted to try this bottle before I bought more.UPDATE: I've purchased this water bottle October of 2016, I used it daily after I've received it. Unfortunately it got thrown away at the airport while I was being searched because the liquid wasn't thrown out. Anyway, this water bottle was thrown around (used and abused) so many times and it did not break. It was so easy to use, I would open it with one hand while I worked on my school work. No complaints! (At the time I purchased it for $9 at such a steal price!) I've worked out in the fields during the summer to earn extra cash for school and this water bottle has helped me stay hydrated (I'd freeze it overnight so by afternoon it would be somewhat thawed out). Probably the best water bottle I've ever owned. (I've had so many; but I never stuck with them because they held little amount of water, the quality was terrible or both.)

Third purchase
Purchased two of the same design/size Thermos several years ago, so I know it stands up well. Love the size as have a hard time drinking water and the 18 oz. seems easier for me to get through 3-4 a day. Like the self-closing nozzle and handle. (I don't use the straw). And because it's see-through and you can tell if it's clean (use a small brush for cleaning nozzle). Very well-engineered design.

Good Purchase.
Great Bottle. Would like it if the lid release button was a little easier to press but not a big deal.

Love that this doesn't have an extended straw, that it's leakproof, and opens with one-hand.
Love the shape and larger size of this drinking bottle. It seals very well, with no leaks, and I really like that I can fit regular ice cubes from a tray as the neck is a bit wider than similar bottled I've owned. Please note that the ad says this bottle has a straw, but not what one may typically consider a straw. It has an elevated circular opening about 20 cm (3/4 inches) wide, allowing you to pour,"chug",or sip. I personally wouldn't call it a straw, but maybe it technically it is? There is nothing extending into the bottle, which, for me, is a bonus -- easier to keep clean, and less places for bacteria to collect. Please note that this bottle will pour out its contents if the clear lid is not over the opening. It only seals with the clear lid and rubbery plug that covers the opening if the lid is down and closed properly. One thing I noted was that the clear lid, when I first got it, did not spring backwards as I expected it to when I pushed the button to open it. It required either two hands, or a two-step process to open: push the button, lift back the lid. However, I discovered in using it for a few days the button released better and the lid does indeed pop back on it's own. There is latch to put around the button should you not want your bottle to accidentally on it's own if it's bumped, so there's no worries if you're packing your bottle around. If your bottle doesn't open smoothly at first, just keep using it -- the "stiffness" of the button should reduce with use. This was good value for the price!
