The best bit for relief cuts
You can plow right through with a dovetail if you want, but your bit and router will last longer if you pull out some material. Table saw is the fastest way in my shop, but for the Microjig dovetail system, this bit leaves the best shaped groove.Be careful ordering -- I ended up with a 1/4" shaft on the straight cut bit and a 1/2" on the dovetail. Grr.

Only good for 4 cuts
It burned out in about 10 min of use. I sure wanted it to work. It got hot fast and then stopped cutting. Im not sure if I can get a refund.

This relief bit works great takes a lot of stress off the dovetail bit.

Todo sea por cuidar la broca de cola de milano
Al comprarla, en mi cabeza solo cabía la idea de que sería una broca muy parecida a la de cola de milano. Me sorprendí muchísimo al ver que era una broca de 1/4 de pulgada. En cuanto a funcionamiento, esto no representa ningún problema, pero sí es un poco molesto el tener que hacer dos cambios de broca, uno con el adaptador de 1/4 que requiere mi router, para hacer cualquier ranura de cola de milano. Es feo, pero vale la pena con tal de cuidar las brocas de cola de milano.

It met and exceeded my expectations.

Not impressed - blunted so quick
Used to make a few cuts in MDF, and worked lovely initially on day one, cutting cleanly and with ease. Second day for a few short cuts and it was slow progress in the same MDF, scorched the fibres and overheated the bit. Felt the blade edges and they felt as blunt as if they’d never been sharpened…although they had, as was sharp out of the box. Reverted to a Makita similar bit which sailed through the MDF without any issues, completing many more cuts. In the defence of the manufacturer, the dovetail piece was much better and remained sharp throughout. I may have just had a duff item.
