CHEFS Fresh Valley Canisters: Onion

I bought the entire set after reading the reviews on here and am very pleased. The set holds a five-pound bag of potatoes, eight large onions, and plenty of garlic or shallots. The set sits in my pantry but would look good on my countertop as well. The complaints about the heft of these canisters are mystifying; I don't know what the benefit would be on the storage use if this product were somehow heavier. Overall the set functions great and looks terrific!

I really like the canister, and it has performed as it should. My decal on my onion jar partially slathered off even by handwashing...I was scrubbing, but with a washcloth and dish soap. no abrasive.It would be better if it was made like a traditional crockware, heavier, and thicker walls, and getting rid of these cheap decals.

The product itself I highly recommend. Excellent quality! The lettering on the onion container was crooked. It was a gift and not noticed till it was too late to return but otherwise I no complaints. Better than any I have seen. I've been looking for awhile now. Very happy!

This canister is great. I love buying onions and putting them in it. They look really cute in it! (I know, simple pleasure) Although the canister is lovely and looks amazing on my counter with the potato and garlic canisters nestled against it, it is also useful (SCORE!) My onions don't sprout or start to rot when placed inside. That being said it does cost a lot for this canister, more than I think it is worth. The ceramic is neither thick nor thin, I would say the clay used to make it is closer to porcelain than good ol' sturdy farmer's pot clay. I wonder how it will hold up when our next military move arrives..

I have not yet washed these yet (I also ordered the "Potatoes" canister) but some of the lettering has rubbed off already. I'm slightly disappointed because of how expensive they are. However they do add a great look to the credenza in my dining room. People just assume they are decoration rather than actual food storage.

We like the item but it is labeled safe for the dishwasher. We put it in the dishwasher and the writing almost completely came off. It was replaced by the seller without question.

This is the storage I was looking for! Stylish yet functional. I have had multiple immediate compliments and many want to know where I bought them b/c they also want to order them. Nice quality product.

I adore this set of canisters for my onions and it does a great job! Takes a bit of space on the countertop but always looks lovely. Onions stay fresh and crisp.
