Brings the THUNDER!
This thing is wicked cool! Starts cycling a bit slow at first (which can cause a jam) but wow... it’ll throw a hail of darts that’ll make your inner 10 yr old high five your adult self.Actual 10 year old son has now taken the basement hostage. Could use some Nerf Air Support to lay down suppressing fire so I can reclaim the TV.Send help quickly... low on ammo and Football is on.

Prepare for a happy child
I didn't read the product specs because it's Nerf. How big could it be? The delivery box was half the length of my porch. !!! Ensue shock and excitement! My 13 y/o son asked for this toy and is not disappointed. He put it together himself with minimal assistance. A screwdriver was needed. Duracell batteries are included. It shoots rapid fire and retracts as it fires. So much fun for this kid. By tomorrow he'll be tormenting his sisters. (We laid ground rules). The aim on the gun is straight. None of us are disappointed and believe it is money well spent.

A blue Rhinofire with twice the drums and darts; Costco package deal/ Walmart special.
Looked cool from the time it was released in it's white color scheme, but how does this perform? This automatic Nerf turret blaster uses 6 huge D Batteries like it's predecessor, the Vulcan. Unfortunately the white Rhinofire just jammed more in one day than my Vulcan did in it's existence, and this is troubling considering that I was using fresh new darts. Recording the velocity ratings was discouraging with the first shot landing consistently in the 30 feet per second (FPS) range on my ProChrono Digital chronograph. Apparently the motors need time to spool up to get it's peak rev ranges of 60 FPS, averaged. Now 60 FPS is still sub-par for elite ranges (70 FPS) but what really gets me is that when it shoots, it alternates between barrels. You would expect the flywheel to spool up in-between shots to get the claimed ranges in order to reach up to that 80 feet advertised ranges that most new Elite XD blasters claim on their box art (white with blue stripe color scheme or orange with the white stripe color scheme), but no, not with 60 FPS. This Blue Rhinofire (blue with a white stripe; an old color scheme) was just released at Costco, and as terrible as the deal may seem at close to 90 U.S. dollars, it comes with four 25-dart drums and 100 darts to fill them with. If you fail to get it there, you may have to get it here or on EBay for an extra fee (sorry, but it should be $100+). You decide if this is worth it, that is, and if you really like it and just HAVE to get one: Blasterparts offers a voltage modification kit that utilizes four powerful AA sized rechargable 3-4.something volt Lithium Ion batteries, two dummy-battery conduction spacers, and six D-sized adapters (AA to D size batteries also makes the blaster lighter in weight; you can just buy your own in individual parts and an appropriate charger for less off of Amazon or EBay). The mod should increase ranges with a significantly higher velocity (higher FPS) and shorten time between shots, thereby increasing the darts per second (higher DPS) as well. Still, you can just as well buy two Rapidstrikes, or better-yet, four Stryfes using the same amount of money.

Cool Gun
This was a Christmas gift for my 12 year old son who is an avid Nerf lover. He loves it. If the bullets are inserted correctly there isn't much trouble with jamming. Definitely by far, the coolest gun in his collection.

Super disappointing. It really bums me out to write this because I wanted so bad for this to be awesome, but it just isn't.The setup instructions are pretty shotty. My son got this for his 8th birthday and everyone was super excited to see it work and play with it. We spent more time trying to load the darts and get everything to work than we did playing with it.Once it was setup, the shooting range is really disappointing. It looks awesome, but shoots like it was meant for toddlers. And something I didn't think about: Yes, it holds 50 darts (25 each cartridge), but it's honestly not that great once they've all been shot and your spending 5 minutes just loading them back up.If I'd only paid about $40, I'd probably write a different review that says something along the lines that you get what you paid for. But I spent $135, roughly, and it was a total waste.

Good but not every type of dart works.
I just wish any type of nerf dart would work in this one.

Seems slightly faster than the regular version
This version of the rhino fire appears to rev up and shoot slightly faster
