Piet Oudolf: Landscapes in Landscapes

Love the way the book is organized. Great book to have to get into his mind/his way of approaching a site.

I borrowed this book from a Professor and upon having to return it decided I must buy it for myself. Piet shares his visions behind his best-known gardens and includes his sketch of designs so you get to see the specific cultivar names he uses for the gardens. This book is great for coffee tables as you can carelessly thumb through the pages to absorb the beauty of his designs, while he includes more detailed information for the gardener who wishes to glean horticultural knowledge. I recommend this book especially for the gardeners interested in the New Perennial Movement as well as for anybody who appreciates beautiful gardens.

Love it it’s a fantastic book for inspiration

No sé qué tal se compara con otros libros similares sobre Oudolf más económicos que veo también en Amazon; el mío lo he comprado con un buen descuento por venir con una esquina doblada y me ha merecido la pena. Aunque abundan más las fotografías, la mayoría del propio Piet y a veces un pelín escasas de resolución (pero compensado por el hecho de aportar la propia visión del autor), hay buena cantidad de planos dibujados a mano, en blanco y negro y a color, y también en CAD. Seguramente no es la "edición definitiva" que uno podría esperar por la importancia y la calidad del trabajo de este paisajista, pero por ahora sí es un libro lo suficientemente decente para introducirnos en su obra y un poquito más, diría que de un nivel medio de profundización.

Love this book! I love how it's laid out, the information on the plans and scales, the images. Great for ideas for anyone planning a garden on a small or large scale.

Das Buch hat sehr viele schöne Bilder - ich würde es Bildband mit einzelnen Texten beschreiben. Zu jeder Pflanzung gibt es eine Seite Erläuterungstext (teilweise mit Informationen die man sonst nicht in Büchern/Internet findet), sowie den dazugehörigen Pflanzplan und viele eindrucksvolle Bilder. Das Buch ist sehr hochwertig und schön gemacht! Für Oudolf Fans sicher eine Bereicherung und Anregung für Pflanzkombinationen! Die Texte sind allerdings komplett auf Englisch, aber nicht allzu kompliziert und das meiste sind ja eh Bilder - die Pflanzennamen sind botanisch angegeben!
