Very important content but the Kindle edition is a mess
On Kindle, the word "BLACK" has disappeared from the title, as though covered with white-out. What kind of message is that? Inside the edition, there appears to be no attempt at visual coherence. One essay runs into another, there are typos, and it needs editing in general. I deleted it from my Kindle because it was such a mess. I hope the paperback edition is easier to read.

Good book for black hair
This book is quite good on explaining how women felt and still feel about their hair, how society sees it... But it won't give you solution to your hair problems.

A good read
The words and chapters run together a bit, so be ready for that. Otherwise, an informative book. I am a white woman from outside of the USA trying to understand somerhing new and this definitely helped.

Excellent
