My only criticism is the lid - it would be better if it opened a little further - hence only 4 stars. Otherwise very pleased.

Boil the kettle and fill it up lasts hot for hours! Saves on keep boiling the kettle

I bought this to use at work as all my colleagues love a hot cuppa. It has got good capacity and works well. The only problem is that it is very difficult to clean. Due to it’s size it is not possible to reach till bottom and you need a bigger spoon to use with thisShould’ve ordered a smaller one I guess!!

18 months after we got this carafe, the water went luke warm after a few hours. If left overnight, by morning, it is all cold.Somehow, a seal has broken or not as good as it once was. When it was good, the metal body of the flask was cold even filled with boiling water from the kettle. Now, you can feel heat leakage with the sides feeling warm a little while after filling and lid on. I've taken to wrapping the whole flask in a couple of thick tea towels. This helps to reduce the heat loss, but when you uncover the flask, the body is hot to touch. The radiation of heat means the water is cooling as a cup of tea in a mug.It has been a very good hot water carafe up to now. I have left my original review below, but I have reduced the star rating to 2 stars, as it is not fulfilling the primary purpose of keeping water hot.-Below is my original review-Have you ever had a vaccuum flask that could keep hot water or a hot drink hot for 24 hrs? This flask does that. I filled it with boiling hot water out of the electric kettle, and closed it up. The next day, even after some usege of the water through the day, what was left was hot enough to feel uncomfortably hot when poured out onto the skin.It is simply a surprisingly good heat maintaining vaccuum flask.The only downside is the volume of liquid that trickles out when you depress the button and incline the spout into your cup. The slow-ish trick might be a safety feature, so if you do accidently do release some of its contents. The flask I recieved was opened by a quarter turn of the lid. It is very firm, which probably leads to an amazingly good seal, keeping in the heat. But apart from these two things, the fact it keeps water hot for a long time is it's principle purporse, for which I am giving five stars.

I am thoroughly delighted with this jug flask ....1. it holds 6 large mugs of coffee 2. it stays hot ALL DAY. normally i warm a flask with hot water first - but no need here! Coffee shouldn't be made with boiling water - so i switch off my kettle before it boils - and fill my flask first thing in the morning - and when i pour my final mug full of coffee at the end of the day - its still hot. BRILLIANT....would recommend to everyone.

Disappointed water not hot enough for tea or coffee after first cups made. A proper Thermos Flask would be better buy.

Good idea but poor quality, had a month or so and its got rust spots on it. The inside seems to always have water in it, which I think is leaking in from a poor seal with the lid. The lid is another problem, hard to clean as there's no way of dismantling it...
