Lenox856373 Butterfly Meadow Melamine 4-Piece Dinner Plates, Lightweight Melamine Material

Bought this for an Easter dinner because I didn’t have enough plates. They are so adorable! I use them all the time now because they are so cheerful! Easyto clean!

First, let me address the "plastic" issue. THESE PLATES ARE PLASTIC. Either people aren't reading the description, or they can't comprehend what they've read. Melamine is a type of plastic. To deduct rating stars because of a mistake made by the buyer is simply wrong, and unfair to Lenox. Also, plastic scratches (go figure). Why anyone would deduct stars for this, and complain is ridiculous.All of my dinnerware is 20+ years old, and all of it was taken off the market because of lead. I decided to get melamie dinnerware, because tempered glass dishes don't just break when dropped, they explode into shards.I was really surprised at the weight and quality of the Lenox melamine. They're so shiny that they could be mistaken for porcelain. The decorative elements, in this case butterfly meadow, is very high quality, and delicate, just like the porcelain. They're really lovely.

These are beautiful. They are some kind of light material. They say you cannot wash in the dishwasher, but I have had great luck breaking that rule. So glad I got these!

These plates do well in the dishwasher, they are very lightweight and a large size for the fussies who don't like their food touching (seriously). Pretty pattern and detailing, nice change from the daily white dishes. They do scratch a bit but its melamine. We use the Christmas holly pattern as well, this brand is always quality..

There is nothing wrong about this item. I only returned because I didn’t pay the attention to the material! But they are beautiful and very good material and easy to clean!

If you're illiterate like I am, you might not know that "melamine" = "plastic". Although I thought I was ordering china (or at least "ceramic"), this actually worked out just fine for my brood. They seem to be durable - great for little kids - AND they look fancier than they are. The kiddos feel quite sophisticated eating family dinner.Consider us surprised, but happy.

Present for my elderly mother who doesn't have a dishwasher. She finds these easy to clean, light weight, and she thinks they are beautiful!! She especially loves the scalloped edges.

I bought these melamine plates for my elderly mother who is finding her regular plates too heavy. She wishes she had known about these long ago. I'll be getting her more for Christmas. They are much nicer I.R.L.
