The filters seem fine for filters, however the air vent won't do much good. The purpose of the vent is to be airtight until you exhale. When you exhale it pushes the rubber plate out allowing the air to flow out. Then the rubber plate should lay back down on the vent to seal it and prevent air from flowing back into the mask. However, the rubber plates on these vents do not lay flat which allows completely unfiltered air to enter the mask when you breathe. I would imagine most of the valves sold on here are the same, so if you order any, make sure the vent fully closes, especially if you are expecting protection from covid. If you are concerned about protecting yourself, i would recommend still wearing a second mask over these vents or purchase a mask with filter inserts that don't have vents.

Received package today, and opened it up. Packed well, and easy to open. I inventoried the contents and found all 8 exhaust valve parts present, along with the 20 filters. The filters look good. All parts/ filters look unused/ new. I am disappointed that the nose ‘exhaust’ valves are plastic, vs. a filtered exhaust piece. I mention this as my mask came with a sm. foam filter. I will test this products filters n plastic ‘mask hardware’ by weeks end, when it’s time for me to change my filter/ valves. I have concerns the replacement plastic-ware is NOT compatible with my mask, hence the lower marks on this product. Look for my update, n be safe ; fellow Amazonian! (Thx for reading my update)

So far I am not getting it caught in my 5 o'clock shadow like the filter that came with the mask. Breathing is okthough wearing any mask for a long period of time especially in the recent S. Florida heat is really quite exhausting.The orange mask I already had. Weeks before it was a long wait to even get a mask that is less restricting and not blocking my breathing so much through my nose.

With the COVID situation, everybody is buying masks and filters, and I was no different. I bought masks early on, along with a few additional filters, thinking that the mask requirements would go away quickly. When masks became mandatory, I knew additional filters would be needed, and the original source no longer had spares. Found these for the right price, and was pleasantly surprised to find them exactly like the originals, except that the holes for the vent pieces are slightly smaller. Not much, but it does take a little patience to get them installed in the mask. For that reason, I could only give 4 stars. Once in place, however, no issues. Breathing is easy, and I now have a good source for replacements as needed.

I had purchased one of the mask with the dual vale system because I wear glasses. The mask only came with 1 replacement filter and finding extra replacements was costly or near impossible to find. When I found this package, wow!!! The price was very decent and the additional replacement vales came in handy because the original vale on the mask popped open and the silicone blades fell off without me knowing until it was pointed out to me. Thank goodness I had those extra replace vales that came with the filters.

I bought the white ones, and by all means I'm pretty sure they are thinner than the regular grey ones I used before from different brand. These are more transparent, feel softer and they are easier to breath in. Still says "Activated carbon" on the package, but clearly no black layer inside. Also I didn't notice that they come with 16x valves, which I don't need.To summurize, it's clear now why it's cheaper. It's still may be good for you if you are looking for comfort, since I think it still offers better protection than regular disposable medical masks.
