Great book for early readers interested in science.
We bought this to go with a Ladybug Land Habitat that my daughter got for her 2nd birthday. Since she was "raising" ladybugs from their larvae we wanted a book that was appropriate to her age but still factual and not cartoony. We weren't disturbed by the picture of the Ladybug eating the Aphid. Even though my daughter is two she understands that every living thing eats and sometimes living things eat other living things. Maybe my child is different because she has always been exposed to pets like fish eating smaller fish and she has a great interest in bugs but she did show the book to some other kids and their parents and no one I knew found it disturbing and one parent even commented that the Aphid is so small you can barely tell it's a bug.

Very informative
This book is very educational. I bought the book as a decoartion for one of the tables at my sister's ladybug themed baby shower. It seems like it would be a great book for kids that are a little older. The pictures are very real-life and there is one page that shows the ladybug eating another big and it is pretty graphic. All of the other pictures are great though. :)

Simple Story with Lovely Illustrations
This book does not include any scientific information about ladybugs. It is a sweet ladybug story with beautiful, vibrant illustrations that the children enjoy looking at.

I bought this to go with a ladybug toy I crocheted for a small friend. It is a cute book, suitable for very young kids.

Perfect non fiction lady bug book
I bought this book for a little girl who just turned 4. It was intended as a companion to a fictional lady bug book by Mem Fox, in the hope that it would be a teaching opportunity that distinguished fiction from non-fiction. It was a huge success !

Lady Bug Lady Bug What Are You Doing
I was rather disappointed with this little book. She hatched, walked. ate. crawled and slept. The pictures could have been brighter and I feel there is very little to inspire a child to want to use this as a board book.

Cute
Simple kid friendly language for kids interested on learning about the life of a ladybug. Used this in my first grade classroom and low level readers loved it.
