Delta CA302-R 2-Pole 125/250VAC Single Phase Surge Capacitor

Delta's surge arrestors and surge capacitors are awesome. They give a great deal of peace of mind during lightning storms and line work - you won't realize how much they're doing for you until years later when you think - 'Hey, none of my stuff has been fried in a long time! I wonder if it's the CA302/LA302?' My guess is that it probably has something to do with it. I've got these things in my house on the grid side, inverter side of a Solar array and the DC side of the solar array. The pro solar installers swear by em, and I've put them in friends and family's houses. Great tech.

Bought this capacitor in conjunction with a solar panel instal. Purpose to protect sensitive inverter against problems on the AC line. Was a bit hard to find even from solar stores. This was a good price for this object and it is easy to install.

The wiring was long enough so that the unit could sit at the bottom of a 200 amp electric panel and tie in at the top, nearest to the line input. No idea whether it will work, hopefully I will never find out. Installed toether with a lightning arrestor, which has similar characteristics.

Product was due July 20-24 - but it arrived July 18. We recently sustained damages to our equipment in a lightning storm and feel the lightning arrestors need replacement and need assistance of surge capacitors, so these items will be installed quite soon. We highly HIGHLY recommend the Delta surge capacitors be put in line along with the LA302-R lightning arrestors for circuits supporting sensitive equipment like computers or amateur radio equipment. Seller Big Frog Mt. is in a neighboring state, so delivery was quite speedy. Many thanks.I highly recommend getting Delta equipment if yo live in high lightning strike areas.

This part was exactly as I expected and in perfect condition.

i have installed a number of these for customers to help protect from smaller spikes, etc. you should always install a lightning arrestor as well, as a large strike would fry these. delta makes great stuff. i used to just install regular lightning protectors and surge protectors, but the capacitor is a great idea, as it smooths out the wave and is not used up as surge protectors are. maybe best to install all 3; lightning, surge and capacitor. if i had to choose two, i would use the ca302 and la302.
