Pippi Langstrumpf

I read this book because I am learning German and I like to improve by reading children’s books. I chose it because I remember I used to watch the cartoons as a child. I thought I will love the book too.It was indeed a lovely one but, for me, not as great as Die kleine Hexe.Maybe for children this is awesome but I can’t say I loved it.

Pippi - the strongest girl in the world. When I was young I used to watch the TV series and listen to Pippi's adventures. I now introduced my five year old daughter and she too has become a big Pippi fan. Astrid Lindgren is one of the greatest children book authors of all time!

My 3 year old (growing up bilingually, as I am German) is loving it! Have to read a story out of it, every night. So pleased she enjoys one of my childhood favourites.

Ich selbst liebte Pippi und da war es für mich klar, dass auch meine kleine Tochter die freigeistige Pippi Langstrumpf kennenlernen sollte :) Wie oben erwähnt, sind die Illustrationen von Katrin Engelking wunderschön. Der Text wurde gegenüber dem Buch aus dem 70ern nur wenig bis gar nicht verändert. Aber eines fiel mir doch auf:aus Pippis Papa, ehemals "Negerkönig" wurde nun der "Südseekönig" :) Dagegen lässt sich doch nichts negatives sagen, oder!?! Absolute Kaufempfehlung meinerseits! Jedes Kind sollte mit Astrid Lindgrens Büchern aufwachsen. Aber das ist meine persönliche Meinung...

very nice story which i enjoy reading to my child. I can recommend this book to any one who wants to read a little bit of a different story to there children

Schöne Bilder und die bekannten Geschichten. Meine Tochter (fast 4) möchte nun zum Fasching als Pippi gehen und nicht mehr als Elsa :) Ziel erreicht würde ich sagen.
