The third book in the "Love Undercover" series and the story of Rowdy and Avery.Rowdy has lived a really rough life. Since a very young age he learned how to survive but most importantly, how to keep his little sister safe. Ever since Pepper married Logan (a good cop) he hasn't had the need to stay on the move. So to plant some roots (for now) close to her, he buys a seedy bar and turns it around into a good establishment. He has no need to go after women since they all throw themselves at him even though they all know he's only good for one time, once he's had them he'll make sure there's no second time. Keeping things simple he can get the edge off and escape his demons without them getting any ideas. The problem is he can't get his sexy bartender Avery out of his head. Once he finally has her he can't get enough of her and soon finds himself wrapped up in her. When her safety is in jeopardy it gives him the perfect excuse to keep her next to him at all times because he'll make sure she's safe while with him. But things don't work as planned and soon he's fighting his own feelings for her. Will he be able to accept the feelings he's having for Avery? Will he accept the love she's so selflessly giving him? Or will he ruin everything good on his life because of his fears?Avery has a few secrets from her past. She's been on the run for the past year hiding from an awful situation that made her feel unsafe. She fell for Rowdy before he even became her boss but being careful she never accepted his advances. He was known for being very sexual and was happy to have any woman knowing he wasn't in a shortage of willing bodies, so Avery just kept to herself. But now that she's been working with him constantly it's gotten harder for her to hide her feelings for him and how much it hurts when he goes off with yet another woman. Even though she knows once he has her he'll cut her loose, she's about to give in and enjoy any time he can give her because honestly she'd rather have the memory of one night with Rowdy than the regret of not having him at all. Will he get rid of her sooner if he realizes she loves him? Or would he accept her love even when she's not asking for anything in return?This whole story was really good and I loved the fact that Avery was strong willed but not overbearing. She understood when she had to step back and didn't put herself in unnecessary danger. She followed Rowdy's lead and was reasonable about what he wanted to do for her safety yet put her foot down when he was being ridiculous. She was a full participant and I felt they were equals in their own way in their relationship.A very enjoyable read... I just can't get enough of these guys! Loved reading about all of them and I'm looking forward to the next book in this series "Dash of Peril" and looking forward to the new series, "Ultimate" featuring Cannon in the first book and continuing with all his fighter buddies.

REVIEW:Why oh why have I waited so long to read a romance novel by Lori Foster! I have majorly been missing out and am so happy now that I have been introduced to her writing and steamy romance. Getting Rowdy is the third book in the Love Undercover series and boy is it hot. But not only that the plot is thrilling, with twist from each of the protagonist background, they both have really deep stories that make you feel for both of them. This can be read as a stand-alone, but after reading about the two previous couple in this book I want to see how they met and can’t wait to read their stories.Getting Rowdy follows Rowdy Yates, a man who not only is attractive and tough, but never says no to the women who want him. But the one woman who he actually wants is always saying no to him. Rowdy knows Avery is not like any girl he’s met, she has something she hiding and he isn’t much different from her when it comes to secrets. Together they try to knock down the walls that they have been hiding behind, as well as fight the past dangers that seem to have finally caught up with them.Rowdy is one smoking hot man, who has a very cocky attitude and bluntly says what he wants without shame. I loved his care free attitude even though his mouth got him in trouble a couple times, even when he didn’t mean for it too. Though he seems like a player, he has a pretty scarred past that has damaged him. Inside he’s a loving and protective man who cares a lot for family and for the people who work at his bar. I liked that he wasn’t perfect, that his flaws added to his charismatic personality and it made him real. His connection with Avery is deep and he tries to fight his instincts but knows that she is someone he needs, and actually wants him for the right reasons.Avery is a sweet and caring young woman, who can be tough and smart mouthed when needed. She has dealt with a lot of scars like Rowdy, her family life was “ideal” for most but no one knew what really went on in her pampered life. She has a hard time opening up and Rowdy seems to be the one person who she may be able to talk too. I loved how together they found that missing piece and seemed to understand that they can be happy.Overall, even though the plot is predictable because it’s a romance story, I felt the background for both Avery and Rowdy were deep and seriously made me as the reader care for them so much more. I also liked how even though I didn’t know the characters stories from the previous books, I was able to connect to them and enjoyed their time with Avery and Rowdy. If you’re looking for a hot romance with a solid plot that is full of suspense then this is the book for you. Lori Foster no doubt will entice you with her steamy writing but also with her memorable characters.RECOMMENDATION:This is an adult novel that is suitable for a mature audience due to its sexual content. Fans of Beautiful Disaster by Jaime McGuire and Reunited in Danger by Joya Fields will enjoy Getting Rowdy by Loir Foster.

this is the third book in Lori Foster's 'love undercover series', and yet again this author delivers.i am a fan and can honestly say Lori's a consistent author, with plenty of great stories under her belt.this one was no exception.i have loved this series from the get-go and this was a great contribution.the characters were vibrant,colourful and totally likeable, and i fell head over heels for rowdy!i also found Avery's background unexpected as i thought i had a good idea of who she was from the snippets of her in the previous book.the story was fast paced and we got to see others from the series including Cash the dog!further we are introduced to the quite mysterious Cannon, he i'm sure will be one to watch.nevertheless i think this book could still be read as a stand alone.however,in my opinion they are all worth a go!the only thing i would say is that it wasn't quite as action packed as the other two,though it was still a great read with a believable romance.i doubt fans of this series will be disappointed, i wasn't!the next book is to be Dash and lieutenant Peterson's story which is(at the moment)due out in march 2014.series order:1. I loved this book, it was a great addition to the Love Undercover series, with interesting characters that you couldn't help but care about. I cant wait for the next book in the series!
