Great piece of kit. May need a different power cord.
Very nice unit, especially considering the price. This compares favorably with the B&K Precision loads that this bears a remarkable similarity to.However, the unit I received contained an Australian power cord which can't be used here in the US. Fortunately it's a standard IEC-style so just about anyone who would be buying this probably has a few hundred replacements laying around.Strangely, the box it came in had the European power cord option marked (and doesn't seem to have an option for Australian cords.)

I'm very glad to see high-quality units like this that allow us ...
We run a very low-margin repair shop and have done without reliable test gear for years simply because affordable equipment hasn't existed before now. I'm very glad to see high-quality units like this that allow us to perform tests and repairs that previously wouldn't be possible for us or our clients. The software it came with is a little finicky but ultimately it included all the features we'd care about out-of-the-box. We can graph batteries and record measurements effortlessly without any custom software. For more complicated test jobs we've been able to script up our own software and communicate with the unit without any trouble. The serial interface is TTL but luckily they printed that on the back of the unit so we didn't damage ours trying to communicate with it for the first time. The VFD display is especially nice -- we have a lot of older test gear with LCDs that are pretty unreadable -- this unit is easily readable from all sorts of positions. It's also not very loud in my opinion even at full load, and the fans are speed controlled; it's nearly silent when the load is off.Overall I'm very happy with it, especially for the price, and it's opened up a world of possibilities for us as far as services we can offer.

Great machine, good value for money.
I'm very happy with this Electronic Load.It works as it suppposed to work: very easy to use and quite accurate. This load gets good reviews on both EEV-blog and Gerry Sweeny's channel.I can recommend it to other people. One remark though: there should be more information on amazon about import duties that have to payed. But overall: it's terrific bit of kit.

We plugged in the correct one and it turns on fine but wouldn't start the load
We just got ours and it had the non US IEC cable. We plugged in the correct one and it turns on fine but wouldn't start the load.. Unreg kept coming up... after an hour we fugured out the IEC is not automatic and set to 220V and the unit powers up fine just won't switch the load in! Setting it to 110v (slide switch) it seems to work fine.I didn't even know anyone used non auto sense 110 -> 220v supplies anymore..Jon
