I've read the bible all of my life but for the first time in years, I'm reading it and UNDERSTANDING it! This is especially true for proverbs. I believe God has blessed Brian with a gift that brings His Word to life. With the Passion translation I cannot wait to open God's Word everyday and read the rich treasures that await. I was told about this item at the Heaven Come conference in LA. I decided if it helped Brian Johnson get through some hard times, then it would help me too. This particular one I gave to my sister as a birthday gift. I hope she reads it and reads through the devotion in the back. I thumbed through it real quick and read on devotion. Praying God will speak to her through this book.

This book meets my emotional need everyday, as I go through trouble at work. God speaks to me each and every day. The bible study on Peoverbs expands my knowledge. I pray to God , it's not just one more bible study , but I need vision and open my spiritual eyes .I started receiving miracle. For sample, I am a Java coder. The repository code is full of bugs and errors, but my code works great.

Love this translation. It's easy and enjoyable to read. My favorite is to make a mug of hot tea and sip on it while reading and pray. Very relaxing and great time to spend with God. I also bought a copy for my grandmother for Christmas and she was really excited to get it. I can't wait to get the other books.

Fantastic translation that also conveys the meaning behind the scriptures, and digs deeper by including commentary from the Greek and Hebrew texts. Great contextualisation of scriptures and really conveys the poetic and passionate love of God for us. I LOVE the Brian Simmons translation, and I have bought most, sans two, of the other books available. I would really recommended it for people who would like to add a more emotional dimension to their daily meditations.

I have the Psalms and Proverbs individual books but I bought this combo for a friend and I LOVE the devotionals in the back! I wanted to keep this for myself after reading them. It's nice being able to buy the individual books but I highly recommend this combo!

A very fresh and lively translation which helps to make the Psalms 'come alive'. I have one or two concerns about the translation, especially when it uses 'Jehovah' as a name for God. It certainly doesn't appear in good texts. So I wouldn't give it 10/10 for serious study. Worth using alongsideother translations, especially by John Goldingay.

Everything about this book is Spirit inspired from the accurate, accessible translation of the Psalms and Proverbs to the notes, and the size, font and presentation of the book. A true companion in our walk with God, revealing again and again Jesus revealed in the Old Testament.

These two books of the Bible are probably the most useful and helpful of all of the passion version. I founf the attached 31 day devotionals very helpful, and that is the passion's strength.

Beautiful Psalms and words of great wisdom in Proverbs. Really easy to read and understand also the study part is great. There is a question at the end to make you think about what you've read. Would highly recommend this
