I was recently looking for a new ice pack after spraining my ankle this fall. I've tried all kinds of applications - gel, etc., even the "freebies" that my husband brings home from the office. He is a physical therapist and as such gets various promotional/marketing materials. I found that I prefer the "old-fashioned" way. When my children need a little ice on an injury, we like to grab a bag of frozen peas, because it conforms to their little body parts and is just the right size. Only then I don't like to waste the bag of peas! Then I found this product and decided to try it. I love it! The various sizes add a lot of convenience depending on the issue needing remedied. (Sometimes you just don't want a bulky gel pack for a wrist, etc). Crushed ice or regular ice cubes are easily added to the top, like a water bottle. The bag has a nice insulating property that keeps the ice from melting as fast as it would in just a plastic bag, (which was another one of our old methods). Plus, the thick fabric that surrounds the bag is comfortable and stays dry. I love that they easily mold around any body part, getting even-coverage around something like an ankle. They are very easy to use - and customizable. Great to have on hand for your first-aid kit.
