Between Us

Maybe more of a 4.5, I think it was a smart piece. I read another review that mentioned this being good for writers and theater types, and I have to agree that this probably falls flat- or is at least boring- to anyone who isn't fascinated by dialogue and character studies.I liked the pairing of the timelines. You flip between the two couples' 'bad days', and get to see the role reversal of happy couple vs. crumbling couple- but you get to see each play both sides. There's two ways to take it, but the optimistic side would say this shows a very leveled playing field, so to speak. Eventually, everyone goes through it; and some times you survive it.

This movie is so annoying because the characters seem to only care about themselves. I felt the script was flimsy as well. It was like the two couples had the same experience with their spouse on 2 different nights 2 years apart. I didn't feel like there was any meaning to the movie. I didn't "get" the message. Maybe there wasn't one. But that annoys me, too. I don't like movies that are so "art house", and that don't have a point to them.

I kept waiting and waiting for this to get somewhere and just when you thought it was going to happen, it backtracks to the same kind of scenes in the past, playing out again in the present and never seemed to quite get over the hump. Julia Styles acting is of course excellent....but not enough to make this worth renting or even finishing. Total dramatic snore.Running around - e.g. either actually running around or lots of scenes" seems to be the new filler these days where 95 percent is the filler and 2.5 is the set up, 2.5 is the close and in total winds up making no sense and being a complete waste of time. This seems to be the consistent formula now for a lot of films.

Did you like who's afraid if v. wolf? Then you'll love this one. Good acting but h-e-double l DEPRESSING. Don't watch it if you're on anti-depressants. Or maybe ONLY watch it if you're on anti-depressants. My apologies if your life is like the movie.

An excruciating hour and a half of watching four people argue (literally, NOTHING else happens in this movie), the message of which- since it is about two married couples- appears to be that a) marriage absolutely sucks and b) marriage once you have kids is pretty much ruined. Put it this way, it succeeded in making me want to stay single. Forever.

Hmmmm I really liked it, I love dialogue movies, No special effects, just people living life and going through it, yes, I agree, definitely not a feel good movie, but does make you feel.....something

If the ending didn't leave me with questions. I didn' t get the panning in on Taye Diggs, what that all meant. I wanted more of a conclusion.

Loved this movie it was great and the seller had perfect packaging so there was no damage on this at all
