Electrolyte

I work outside much of the time, and particularly in hot weather it is a challenge to stay hydrated. In the summer months I would be awakened at night by muscle cramps because I failed to replenish what my body lost through preparation during the day although I drank a lot of water. Popular sports drinks helped, but only so much; I was also concerned about consuming excessive sugars/artificial colors, etc.Around ten years ago I found that the home made oral rehydration solution used in third world countries to treat children with diarrhea, who could not retain fluids, was much more effective than sports drinks IF it was made with Himalayan salt instead of table salt. However, it still involved consuming sugar, with a ratio of eight parts sugar to one part Himalayan salt in the solution.Also, I would forget to mix up solution for the next day, and not have time to in the morning rush, so I added the fizzy sport drink tablets one puts in bottled water to my supply. Some are better than others.After testing SpotLyte during a week of working in hot weather, I am happy to add it to my hydration arsenal. It provides the minerals, etc. to power through the day, and I like that I don't have to take out time to find a place to wash my hands like I have to before I break the fizzy pills in half to put in a bottle of water. I just flip the top open without contacting the spout, add 10 to 12 drops to a bottle of water and keep going. When I work I want to get it done and not “lollygag around.”If you need the “froo-froo” flavors of popular sports drinks, this is not for you. If you want serious convenient rehydration, I think you'll like this.

I bought this product for the magnesium in it. I'm on Keto and get horrible cramps. It's helped with those tremendously. I'm not a fan of the flavor but it's not the worst I've ever had and ... since it does what I need it to do ... I can overlook that. The flavor claims to be lemon but it's not. It's just kind of salty. Salty like the tears of someone who misses carbs. I usually just put it in my water and then add a different flavor to the water to cover it up. It's really not bad ... I just don't like it. I think the best way to describe it is to say it made the water taste a little heavy. I know that sounds weird ... but that's the first word that came to mind when I tasted it for the first time.I went about a week without any cramps and thought that maybe I was over them. I stopped using the concentrate for a couple days and that was a mistake. Cramps! Now, I put it in my water every single morning without fail and will be buying another bottle when this one is empty.

I like to train in a fasted state, so traditional sports drinks—which are as much about glucose supplementation as they are about electrolyte replacement—are no good. This is an easy way to take care of the electrolyte situation without bumping up my blood sugar.It doesn’t have much flavor of its own. That’s fine, because I can mix it with various fruit-flavored drink mixes, or with an amino acid pre-workout powder to get the flavor of my choice. And if I actually want to reverse-engineer Gatorade, I can add some maltodextrin powder.At the dosage specified on the label, a bottle will last a long time. But when it’s gone, I’m definitely getting more.

This Electrolyte Concentrate has been a game changer in my workouts! When I first received it, I was concerned because the bottle is really small, however, after reading, you only need 1/2tsp in 32oz of water, so you actually get a ton! I do very high intensity workouts everyday, so keeping hydrated is key. Water just wasn't cutting it anymore. This stuff has helped tremendously! I use this during and after workouts and it has not only helped keep me better hydrated, but has greatly reduced muscle soreness I sometimes get and helped my body recover more quickly. There is no noticeable taste to me, which is great. I even use this on my rest days to keep my hydration up. I won't be without this now!

The taste is...well, salty. You get used to it though and I do feel more hydrated than I do with Gatorade or Poweraid, so I keep using it!

Got this to try it out for post workouts and I'm fairly pleased.It doesn't taste like lemon... actually it has no taste/flavor.It does have a sort of heavy-muggy feel to the water though. I'm assuming because of the electrolytes. I'd follow the exact amount indicated on the bottle per serving, which is easy to use (I wouldn't add or take away from either water nor concentrate). It taste best as direcred.I have mentioned this product to many of my friends and acquaintances. Will keep purchasing as long as I can. It's a great value for money.

I am physically fit but I sometimes eat too much salt and it leaves me feeling hung over. I started using Nutra-Champs Electrolyte Concentrate and I don't get those post salt hang over mornings. I also use it for working out when I loose a lot of salt from sweat. It feels like it keeps my levels topped off. It is a liquid and a deceptively small bottle, but a little goes a long way. I bottle looks like it will last me 4-6 weeks. I am going to buy this again. Nutra-Champs makes good stuff;-)

I have been using this for about two weeks now, primarily as a electrolyte recovery drink after running. It does seem to help me recover and not to be dehydrated as much. I do wish it came with a measuring tool. I need to dig out the measuring spoon to portion out a serving. Also the bottle doesn't seal well after opening so I can take the bottle with me in my gym bag for fear it will leak everywhere. I don't get any aftertaste but it does have a "smooth" feeling when mixed with plain water. It is a little odd the first time you try it. If that bothers you, mix it with something other than water.
