What a fun ride reading about a man I respect and who fascinates me. Well researched and compiled by an author with the experience and know how to bring it to market. As Rich says in his preface, "This is not award winning literature but rather an in depth look at a fascinating character for the serious fan." Well put. I completely enjoyed the read and all the photos were the icing on the cake

This book was more of a bunch of guys giving a testimonial about Jim Harbauagh. As much as I admire the man as a QB at Michigan and the Chicago Bears (Da Bears!) this was a huge let down from what I thought it was gonna be. I wanted to hear from him and not his friends, former associates or his 3rd grade teacher. I couldn't even finish reading the @#$% thing!

This rating is based not so much on content but how the book was "written". I find it very surprising that the author was given credit for "writing" the stories in this book because they are simply told by former teammates, coaches, etc. My issue is, the stories read like a manuscript - how a person speaks, rather than how writing should occur. There are far too may phrases like "you know what I mean?", "like, whatever," and "I think it was 1984 or maybe 1985. No, wait a minute, it was 1984." And their stories bounce around from topic to topic with no set structure. Again, it's as if the author recorded stories on a voice recorder, then printed the manuscript. Makes for an uneven, frustrating read.The stories, however, are pretty good. I enjoyed the works of Mitch Albom and John Bacon much more than this.

Interesting style of commentary... The insight gained provides a basis for understanding the current Michigan Football program and its leadership. It's a "must read" for Michigan supporters.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading anecdotes by Harbaugh cohorts! Great stories about a great man!
