Bionicle #4: Trial by Fire (Bionicle Graphic Novels, 4)

If you get the paperback edition of this book, be gentle with it. The binding on the paperback copies isn't particularly well done. As long as you give it enough tlc and don't bend the binding back too far it should be fine.The 2005 Bionicle story has always been my favorite. The the characters are deep and realistic, and plot is well-written, if a bit darker than usual, which actually drew me to it even more so. Probably not the best area of the storyline for someone new to the Bionicle universe to start in though, as much of it works off the assumption that we the readers know what's been going on for a while here, although I would imagine most people purchasing this book at this time are probably doing so because they know and love the stories.The book shipped to me very quickly and is in excellent condition. I ordered a used copy, but other than a little shelf wear and the slight musty smell that all books acquire with age it is in perfect condition. I don't think it has been read more than once, the binding is in new condition as well.

This is a great book! I would also recommend the movie based on it: The Web of Shadows. However, because there is a movie interconnected with it the comic can be kind of choppy if you haven't seen the movie.

If you like Bionicle you'll like the comic.

I made the mistake of not reading some of the other reviews; don't do the same! The binding falls apart in one to two days. This is a total shame. The kids love these books and I didn't pay attention to which ones were paperback and which were hardback. The one hardback that I purchased (book #9) seems to be holding up well, and I wish I had purchased all of them as hardbacks. In fact I consider the lost money as a lesson in reading reviews and item descriptions. The kids love these books so much, I have since purchased them again but in hardback of course. In summary, do not buy the paperback!

Wonderful for those Lego fans! My 8 year old son is enjoying many in the series Bionicle Graphic Novels, as this one here....the book is the perfect size..the images are colorful and high quality.
