Great book!
I absolutely love this book, especially the chef featured in it. The book itself is beautifully designed with stunning images and clear, detailed explanations on the methods. I appreciate how the book provides useful tips throughout, making the process of pie-making much easier and more enjoyable. This book has truly inspired me to dive deeper into baking pies and has been a great source of motivation.

Beautifully photographed book, great recipes
Very impressed with this comprehensive cookbook. If you love savory pies and can translate metric measurements, then buy this book. The photographs are gorgeous and the Beef Wellington ( which we serve at Christmas) is delicious and an object of beauty when prepared as in the book.

Great book for someone who is taking pie making seriously
Great book for expirienced cooks who is interesting in perfecting their pie making skills. Detailed description of steps and amazing photographs. I bought this book knowing that it will be challenging to make real meat pies. But learned techniques and adapted to my own recipes.It worked. There are so many way you can use this book. I defently got a lot of inspiration from the chef.

No steak and ale pie
I just got the book looks like some awesome recipes but little disappointed I don't see any steak and ale pie. That's my sons favorite and was hoping for a great recipe.

Beautiful and Useful
I bought this book after hearing my father speaking wistfully about meat pies, and how there really aren’t any places to get them here in the states. I made him the gala pie for his birthday and it turned out amazingly well! Lots of great tips about how to prepare the dough, and some beautiful pictures for inspiration. The book incorporates game meats which may not be accessible depending on where you live but the fillings are pretty riffable. Some cookbooks are more for the coffee table- this one is definitely utilitarian, although not bad to look at either!

All savory pies with metric measurements
I really love this book....all savory pies and with metric measurements. Most are quick to make and the results are delicious. There is great attention to various pie crusts and how they are used...very educational and useful! If you enjoy savory pies...this will be a great addition to your cookbook library.

At last - a proper savory pie book
Excellently written. Clear instructions, a good variety, excellent accompanying dishes, inspiring photos. It's got the classics and also some interesting modern takes on that staple of British cuisine, the pie.

Venturing in to the Pie
First, this is a bloke from England. Like me. However, the only pie I remember from my miss spent youth on the terraces of Stamford Bridge, was a steak and kidney pie. With chips. And brown sauce if available. This is a magnificent trip down memory lane. Wonderfully illustrated and some easy options as well as some complicated chit that I plan on attempting. Sent him a Instagram message sending my appreciation, didn't hear back, probably because he knew I was a Chelsea FC fan.

Más fácil de hacer en casa de lo que me esperaba
Las fotos son impresionantes y al abrir el libro mi primer pensamiento era: esto no lo podré hacer yo. Pero las recetas están bien descritas y con tiempo y paciencia no son fuera de la capacidad de un cocinero normal. No son cosas de cada día porque necesitan bastante rato para preparar, pero para fines de semana o cenas con buenos amigos, perfecto. No es un libro que utilizaré a diario, pero ha añadido un plus a mi arsenal de recetas. Muy contenta con la compra.
