I searched Google for the proper size shrink tube to fix a Macbook power cord, and this product came up.As you can see from the pics I had a pretty bad tear in the insulation, and ordinary electrical tape tends to slide around and get gummy and is not a great permanent fix.I used a heat gun and tried to shield the exposed cable next to the sheink tube with pieces of metal to avoid burning the cable or the connector.I am happy with the result, except that the tubing doesn't seem very tight at the end where it grips the cable, but the end at the connector is fine. I was afraid of buring the cable or cooking the tubing too much so I played it safe.Overall a B+ for the final result and an A+ for price.

I had a couple of iPhone charging cords that had frayed at the end that plugs into the phone. These tubes fit perfectly over the charging cord, and I used a hair dryer to shrink the tubing. It has been a couple of months now, and I am very happy with the repair.

I do a lot of tinkering with simple circuits, particularly circuits with LEDs.A gaming friend recommended small engine fuel line to use as insulation, and it works well! But sometimes, space is at a premium with some of the little projects, and fuel line is too bulky to use.That's where this heat shrink comes into play. Small enough to squeeze into tight spaces, yet wide enough to easily slip over wires and bare leads.I've ordered this stuff a few times and will continue to do so when I run out, it's just a handy size for me.

This works well for the subpar apple cords that break easily to help reinforce it when it starts to show signs of breaking. Saves you from having to spend another $20 plus dollars for another subpar apple cord. Highly recommend this! You can cut it to the size you need and use a hairdryer to shrink it to size after you stretch and loop it over the area you need to reinforce.

Shrink tube does what shrink tube is supposed to do.

I've applied this to my torn Apple Lightning Cable. It works as expected. Just took me extra effort to extend the barrel to fit the lightning port without any wire cutting or soldering. Great fix if you are out of apple's warranty to get your cable replaced.

YouTube has a video using shrink tubing fixing broken armon eyeglasses. This stuff works great, fixed two pairs of glasses, 3 months laterstill attached.

Just a heads up - there are only three of the 3" tubes in a package. They are not worth > a dollar apiece. Ridiculous.I haven't used them yet, but they look to be decent quality.

I was hoping this was going to be large enough to fix my Macbook Air magsafe plug, but sadly it isn't big enough to go over the plug. I've used this brand before and it's works well, so will be keeping this order for other jobs around the house. Now I just have to find some just the right size for my needs.
