I'm not sure what turns the water orange or what the white particles in it are. I assume calcium or something possibly for increased hatch rate. What I do know is that I brew brine shrimp every day and I was not expecting such a noticable difference. Out of 3-4 different brands and sources I've tried this product impressed me with how many brine shrimp hatched. Price seems to be pretty good aswell, I used to spend around $15 for only 25g. All in all I recommend though I'd strain the shrimp from the water if the orange color bugs you.

Theses are the worst Brine Shrimp eggs I have ever hatched. The hatch rate is about 5% and the rest never hatch. I have been hatching eggs for a while now and I try a different brand once in a while to check them out. Do not buy this brand… good advertising picture on the front of the bag that’s where the quality ends.

Going on 4 days and only see some broken seeds floating on top, much more on the bottom and no change to orange color and no brime.I have water prepped with salt as required, at 80 - 84 degreed water temp, bubbler in two different containers/tubes and nothing. Not even changed color to orange.

Very satisfied with this purchase. Was exactly as described. Couldn't be happier and will definitely buy from again.

Hatch rate is excellent.

Not sure why the water turns orange after adding them to the water salt mix, as it seems the orange tint adds to immediate bacteria growth and the water goes bad before you get a healthy hatch. The water even smells bad. I'm not sure what percent hatches but I'm guessing half. I wouldn't be interested in getting these again, a lot of cheaper options out there that don't turn the water a color.

After a full 48 hours in the hatchery, essentially 0 eggs a had hatched.

I just was trying this but it not the quality that they said.
