Great tips and guidelines
I just got a rottweiler puppy, and while I know the basics, we were having a hard time with him. This book was helpful in giving me ideas for games to play that will mentally stimulate my dog. A mentally and physically stimulated dog makes for a better behaved dog. This book goes beyond just the basics, so even a seasoned dog owner can get something useful out of it.

Good easy instructions
I liked this book because it was simple ways to take care of most puppy problems. I brought a 71/2 week old puppy home 2 weeks ago and use one of his training programs for housebreaking. Two weeks later this puppy hasn’t had an accident for 4 days. He knows to go to the door and ring the bell when he wants to go out.

All you need to know to train your new pup
This book shared a lot of helpful information with getting a puppy. I wish more people would read this prior to getting a dog to learn all the considerations to take, breed, care, medical, training etc. This book covered it all along with some tricks for extra training for the puppy to make it a happy household. I also enjoyed the pictures of all the cute puppies. My daughter can't wait to get one.

Is this a grade school writing assignment?
This is the most generalized advice presented in the most elementary level writing style. It was so frustrating to read when looking for actual training methods and advice only to encounter vague comments that seem to be based on the author's rudimentary observations rather than any professionally tested and vetted systems.

Puppy time.. are you ready
If you get a new puppy is a huge responsibility & you are responsible for training the new pup - not anyone else. Luckily you’ll have this book to help you. It has great information for at home training including the techniques and tips you’ll need to train your pup.

Yah puppies!!
I loved and appreciated this book. I read books like it in college so it was better for fun. This is my roommates never birthday gift for sure. I wished we both knew how small a puppy’s bladder was before!!! A must read for dog owners!!!

Needs work
The majority of this book is fine, but not terribly insightful. Some of the knowledge is also outdated. If you don't know the first thing about dog training, and want practical and step-by-step help, this book isn't for you.The bonus chapter is BIZARRE and reads like it skipped a proof-read or any editing whatsoever. There's a lack of heading formatting, and it feels like the author used a glossary for every other word, or it's just been terribly translated to English. It's ok for a skim-read if you already know the basics, but you'd do better watching a few YouTube videos or checking out Zak George's books or videos perhaps.

Worthless book and a grammatical nightmare
This book is completely useless for training your dog. The author brushes over the fine details of training that are imperative to most dog owners. Rather he speaks in generalities in a disjointed manner that resembles a high school essay in which the student is bored of the subject. I have never read a book with so many glaring grammatical and spelling errors which makes you question the very credibility of the information the author is fumbling to pass on to the reader. He completely oversimplifies the training process which I am sure will lead many dog owners to total frustration.

last chapter on tricks?
last chapter on tricks is written in a very strange way. It reads as if it was translated by a computer from another language or something. EX. all other chapters refer to "your puppy" ... last chapter reads "your very small doggie" and a variety of other strange formulations in English. Otherwise good book.
