how much lag input do these have?

There are 2 kinds of lag you may be asking about. The first is the delay between when a pedal is pressed, triggering a command, and when the command happens, or is executed, on a PC. This delay or latency for GWS IDI based products (like the Fragpedal) is approx 4 milliseconds; we poll the computer (update USB commands) every 4 milliseconds; a little more than 3x faster than your standard gaming mouse. Human movement is slow in comparison and even sending USB commands at 125 per second, is more than fast enough, and remains the default for timing PC mouse and keyboard operations. The microprocessor in our products that processes the pedal presses into input commands runs at 12MHGZ, means it’s basically idling while processing commands every 4 ms. The low end limit to command execution speed is the USB polling rate, and ours is 3X faster than standard gaming mice and keyboards.
The second kind of lag you may be asking about is the delay between when a pedal is pressed and a command is executed while playing an online game. Here we have noted, worst case, that when sending complete commands, (press and release a pedal), we need to allow approx 30 milliseconds for the game to receive the full command. With less delay, some part of the command won’t execute in time. This delay is simply game lag; it’s completely independent of the input device and is based on game server input buffer speed and connection lag. The 30 millisecond (worst case) online game input lag is not a problem for normal players sending their commands manually, because these actions are MUCH slower than 30 milliseconds. Our tech can send input at super-human speed, and we’ve learned that these commands often need to be slowed by approx 30 milliseconds to be reliably processed by the game. It’s easy to add controlled delays (from 1 millisecond up) to our macros so they have adequate processing time with game servers thousands of miles away.
So in short, our foot pedals have virtually no input lag when used on a PC, being more than 3 x faster than standard input devices. When using with remote game servers, our products need to manage (slow down for) an approx 30 millisecond game server input buffer. Note that this lag is from the system, not our device, which polling at 500cps is much faster than it needs to be in any case.

Question 2

Can you use it as a mouse

We do have customers who consider the Fragpedal Dual a 2 button mouse replacement, because they can move the left and right mouse clicks to the footpedal. So yes, you can use the footpedal to press mouse buttons.  If you mean does it work as a mouse and move the cursor, then this is less practical.  Because it only has 2 buttons, you can not bind all 4 mouse directions to the buttons. (You can do this with the Fragpedal Quad.) In general, folks do use the Fragpedal Dual to move the left and right clicks to the foot pedal and relieve their hands from the repetition. So you can use it for the main mouse button functions.

Question 3

Can controller buttons be mapped to this (rather than keystrokes)?

That's a good question. We have the capability to map controller buttons, as the Fragpedal also registers to USB as a game controller. However, we haven't developed this further. So the answer is no, right now. 
We need further input from our console customers to work on this. Please feel free to send us an email with the details of your game/app where you want to use the pedals. We are doing updates now, this might be something we can make work in our next updates.

How much force is required to press the levers? Light, medium, or hard?

The force is adjustable from light to hard. The force is varied by setting each pedal at a height that suits the users preference. The higher the pedals are from the pad, the more force it takes to depress them. There are 4 levels of force, light (this is how the pedals are shipped) where the pedals are at the lowest position, and 3 more levels up from there where the pedals are successively raised. This is done by inserting pins (they come with the product) underneath the pedals in 1 of 3 grooves, which change the fulcrum of the pedals and adds height (and resistance) to the related pedal. Its a simple user task to install them, (requires loosening one screw) and each pedal is individually adjustable.
