I've used plenty of bronze bristle bore brushes as a firearms instructor and these have the design to last a good while. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Otis 50 Caliber Bore Brushes *by R***R on September 29, 2011* Ok, I must admit that I was attracted to these because of the price for the 10 pack. With shipping to my zip code, these cost about $1.85 each which is a pretty fair price. When they arrived, I was taken back by the shortness of the bristle brushes. I compared this item to an existing one that I use and found the Otis brush is about 1/2 the length of mine. An email to Otis along with an accompanying comparison picture netted a reply that Otis has no plans in the future to produce a longer bristle unit. Me thinks that I bought brushes for a 50 cal pistol or maybe a black powder rifle. I will use these, no doubt but I will double check closely before any future purchases.One thing in Otis's favor over other brands is the spiral wire doubles back on itself at the tip and leaves a smooth edge on the nose of the brush. Similiar gun show bore brushes are usually spiral wound and then just clipped off and this leaves sharp edges that can damage the bore if you are not careful. Be aware that the wire also attracts a magnet even though it appears to be brass. It is brass colored steel somewhat like 'copper washed' ammo that is on the market.Not diasappointed, just surprised at the big difference between what I already use for a bore brush and what I received.I give it 5 stars due to the density of the bristles in comparison to the other brushes that are out there. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality brushs. *by M***E on May 20, 2024* Needed several brushes to clean muzzleloader.
