PC Chop Shop: Tricked Out Guide to PC Modding 1st Edition

Basic stuff. I'm sure one could find most of the info free on the Internet these days. I'm new to all this so at the time I did not know. The good thing about the book is that the info is in one place and there are a few tips that I would not have thought about. If one is doing mods already, this book would be old info.Quick turnaround- book went out same day I ordered. As for vendors rating, five stars.

I am a computer geek, what can I say

There is a lot of great information in this book. I learned loads in the section of lighting, from how to solder LEDs to installing those cool plasma balls and/or plates. The stealthing section was also cool.My only gripe is the photos. Most are black and white, and don't always clearly illustrate the point, especially when he is talking about the different colors of wire coming from a PSU. Many photos are on different pages than the text describing them, making one flip a page over to see what the author is talking about, and then flip back and try to find your spot. Minor, but annoying.Besides the issue over photos, I learned loads, and will definatly apply some of the techniques to the project I bought the book for.

Modding old school. Now it considered retro. A good intro book for someone that has a case around they want to mess with.

A great book for the workbench. Photo tutorials are very clear and easy to follow. The Author also restores Classic cars so the chapter on "case painting" is worth the price alone. The book covers all skill levels. Its a great reference guide when you find yourself in garge or workshop w/o internet access.Modders, buy this book!

this is a nice book to read well lead out in colour and just what you need to understand your read.
