I've always hated the standard humidifier that comes with cigar humidors. That green, sponge-like cube stuck in a plastic yet still presentable, black shell. Well, I bought these crystals over a year ago, started using them and have had no issues since.The black shell that came with my humidor had a very small, sheer screen on the inside, covering the small slots in the black shell, the one with the green sponge inside. I threw out the sponge, wet some crystals in a container and let them expand. Once plump, I scooped them into the black humidifier shell and haven't looked back. PERFECT! Now I just had some distilled water every few months or so and I'm good to go. I've even given some away for others to use in their humidors. The bag goes a long way and I still have 90% of it set aside for whenever. (whenever I get another humidor that is)Humidification holds steady between 69% and 71%. (Dropped to 68% when taking interior picture, but recovered quickly) Generally sits right at 70% for months. I enjoy around 5 - 6 cigars a week, so it gets open quite often when replenishing stock and when I cut, light, smoke.Any time I've had it open for an extended period of time, it goes right back to 70% in no time at all. To me, these are a No-Brainer!

Works awesome, actually works better than any name brand I've bought. The package comes with a lot more than the description would lead you to believe.

These hold humidity better than the boveda packs I was using. I just put them in small containers with holes drilled into the lid.
