YOU WILL NEED flex-a-lite 30124 also.
Product installed and works as expected. I only had it on for about a day but so far everything tested out good. However, one important note. Don't forget to buy the fan that comes with this motor: Flex-a-lite 30124: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CNN3KY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Don't do like me, thinking you can just slide the old fan off the malfunctioning electric fan spout and re-attach it to the new electric motor. According to flex-a-lite tech support they recommend cutting the fan off with a dremel tool and reinstalling the electric motor and fan blade as a kit. Trying to take shortcuts and attempting to pull the old fan off the old motor and you will risk breaking the plastic bracket system that the electric motor mounts to. And you do not want to do that.Once I reinstalled everything I made sure I put a liberal amount of anti-seize grease on the elec motor fan spout before attaching the fan. Once I wired up everything tighten the electric fan motor on and the fan blade, and my 1995 GMC truck now cools like it suppose to.I discovered I had a problem when the truck was not cooling well at stop. The temperature gauge was showing the temperature increasing and the A/C was getting warm. I lifted the hood and noticed that one of my fans was not spinning as fast as the other. However, during this installation I discovered on my Flex-a-Lite 280 model system, that the blades were not designed to be separated from electric motor. Notice in the picture that the blade and electric fan is all one unit [ Evident in the hole I drilled ]. You will see that the electric spindle is not a separated from blade unit. I took the liberty to drill this after I couldn't pull the blade off the spindle. So, if either one of these units go out you MUST replace both fan and electric blade as a unit. Note also how I had to cut off blade. This fixed all of that. YEAH!!

The Fan can be removed, but it is a job.
I was able to remove the fan and motor as one unit from the vehicle, but as been stated the fan was welded onto the shaft of the motor. I was able to take the motor and use a drill press to drill down into the shaft and then collapse the now hollow shaft and remove the fan. It took some time and effort, but it can be done.

Fan motors work fine, but the whole design of the system was not engineered to be repaired easily. I really hope you don't need these in your vehicle. Next time I will replace the whole system with a different brand/design.

Flex-a-lite Fan Motor
Perfect replacement motor for my Flex-a-lite 270 electric fans. Very simple motor swap, but because of a room problem in my truck, I had to remove the whole fan unit to replace the motor.
