Quality TV, Frustrating Delivery Process
The TV is great. I also have a Sony x900h in the family room and absolutely love the snappy interface. For the garage, the x800h (this tv) is a much better pick as it is bright and has a great viewing angle. The x900h is capable of a brilliant picture so long as you are dead center in front of the TV, it gets washed out at the sides. The interface to the x900h feels more snappy. Still very happy with the x800h though - great TV and perfect for its location.Frustrating delivery process, said I could have it as soon as 4 days from date of purchase. After purchase ran thru i received an email to schedule with a freight service and they were over 3 weeks out. I made arrangements to be home for the scheduled delivery and get a call after the delivery window (after first calling in the morning to verify tv would be delivered that day) that the TV was too large for the delivery truck. Eh? It’s a 65”… So 2 days later had to make arrangements to be home again and the TV arrived about 4 wks after purchase. The product is great but will not be buying another TV from Amazon due to this experience.

Excellent TV
Since there are reviews about TV screen damage. I watched the unloading and checked the box when received. The delivery personnel were very careful with the set and the box had no damage. In fact I never had a TV set with so much protective packaging. It was easy to set up. The supports had to be assembled with 3 screws and slid into the bottom of the set. The set up went fine allot of questions I felt were not needed for a TV set up. In order to program the cable box remote I had to manually do it but the TV has an option for that. But not all features of my cable box remote are the same as the TVs and vice versa. The picture is fantastic and the sound from the TV speakers is above average. This is a 60 Hz set and some have been critical of 60 Hz not being responsive to fast action. I have seen none of that. The smart TV feature works great and watching 4k content is amazing. This is an amazing TV.

Sony 43 inch X800H TV
Before I purchased this TV I bought a TLC Roku and there was a world of a difference. Setting up was easy and streamline. I was a bit confused that it was asking for Google play and Android connection since It said it connect to Alexa.I am a OS Apple user so I was concerned that I needed a Android phone. It did connect to Alexa and I just ignored the rest. The picture is clear and although not as great as OLED the color are detail and rich. I like the speed of changing Channels and volume. The remote control is awesome. We have the TV hooked up to an outdoor antenna and when we want to watch Cable we connect to the internet by pressing the AP button. You do have to download the Apps let say you want to add HBO, Disney, Prime Video and Youtube etc. I like the TV button where you press it and you are on local tv channels. There is a Netflix button and Google Play button which will directly send you to those providers. I like the voice command where.I can tell it to go to youtube to watch my favorite videos if you are on youtube search for whatever subject you want by voice command, and when I want to go back to TV just hit the TV button. The remote is slim and light and easy to hold and the buttons are very clear. I am very satisfied with this unit and still exploring the other options.

Truly Amazing on All Fronts
A few things to know about me: I have a very high standard for quality, and I'm extremely blunt and critical. So the fact I'm giving this TV a 5/5 the day after trying it out means a lot. I usually wait a month or two - but I've seen enough!PRIVACYMy biggest hesitation in buying a television over a projector was the fact they all come with bloated apps, malware, and sell your data to companies. Some of the worst examples of this have manufacturers tracking everything you're watching and data going through your home network.Sony gets an A+ here because in the install process they let you opt out. Sony has always been very good about privacy implications, which is the only reason I even bought this TV. Everyone else is sneaky about forcing you to agree to tracking.USER INTERFACE - PerformanceMy second biggest concern with getting a TV was that I've always seen these user interfaces lag. I hate lag, no one likes lag, it makes you feel frustrated. The apps that I saw my friends use on their devices were slow, sometimes taking multiple seconds just to show basic information. The processor in this TV is crazy. I've not only never seen lag, but the TV remembers what you were last doing in apps so you can easily swap between apps. Truly unbelievable they achieve this without lag, this television often feels more like a computer.USER INTERFACE - User ExperienceI've been developing user interfaces for 10 years now. I've seen a lot of horrible interfaces. This though.. this is one of the absolute best.Your dashboard entirely customizable with apps you want to use. The dashboard is great at showing you content from each app that you want to see without having to dig for it. As an example, the news app shows latest news that's relevant. Or the music app shows your recently played playlists. Amazing. The UI is great, but what is more amazing is that each app has its own well-designed interface. Truly the individual apps for Netflix, Google Music, and others are even better than the companies that made those apps have developed. I would take Sony's app interfaces over the others any day. So good. It's hard to believe Sony made such a killer UI for its products and the products of other companies, and yet, they did.ANDROID OSI've always been an android guy. Naturally this TV integrates with my entire ecosystem of Android and Google products. You get deep integration with the Google Assistant, all the Google products, and if you have an android phone you can easily pair/cast it. And without hassle! I was very impressed with how simple everything I wanted to do was.iPhone users also get Air Play and other goodies too.SOUND QUALITYIf you care about sound quality you're going to always skip the tv speaker and use your own hardware. That's the truth here too, but the default sound quality is above average. Very good lows, highs, and hearing conversations in noisy moments is well done.PICTURE QUALITYAs another review said, the tv gravitates towards a darker picture. I had no trouble modifying this, and the settings to quickly do this from one moment to another is extremely simple. Otherwise, this has been my first 4k tv so I can't give a great comparison, but I'll say the opening sequence had my mouth dropped :)APP STOREThis is just a notice that you can (and should!) install more apps for your tv. If you want to add apps in the Play store that Sony doesn't offer you can "sideload" them. I love that advanced users have this option! The App store Sony gives access to by default is also extremely good, with plenty of apps for all uses cases, even techie users who might want to do crazy things like SSH into their device or run a file server.OVERALLThis unit nailed every single thing I was weary of, and over-delivered everywhere else. I would buy this device again in a heartbeat. Keep it up Sony, you truly are a wonderful manufacturer.

Shipped broken TV
I was shipped a broken TV first of all and then I was caused lots of inconvenience as the return process is very hard set up by Amazon for heavy/bulky items. I had to pay out of my pocket for the return shipping cost.Product is good but don't buy from Amazon as there is a big risk of product getting damage in transit.

Great value Gigantic TV for the money
For regular movie streaming, even at 4K HDR, the TV does a decent job. I have 4K Blu-ray torture disks that can show the limits of the HDR and some weakness in black levels. The lack of local dimming can show up, but for local dimming or full array lights are only available on TVs that today cost much more.If all you watch is netflix or amazon prime, or youtube, you won't really see enough of a difference to justify buying a more expensive set (the video in those services are often over compressed anyway), so this is an excellent set in early 2021 in terms of value for money if you really want an 85" TV (Why won't you want an 85"?)At 85", even 15 feet away, talking heads are huge, the wall can still easily take another 43 inches, but for now this is big enough.

Better quality than the cheaper 65 inch TVs
It's easy to find cheaper options in this product category. I've bought several of them, and none of them looked or performed as well as this TV. I know this is one of Sony's cheaper models, but I would still consider it an upgrade over a lot of the other TVs out there that cost a few hundred less. The remote, the menu options, the customizability, the sound quality, the packaging, and hopefully the longevity of this Sony seem like improvements over the competitors. I also appreciate the very low input lag when using the "Game" mode.

Great picture and fast OS.
I am actually a Sony fan and always go with Sony TVs. Very good design for the price. If you don't really need OLED or QLED stuff this is the best choice. Great for Nintendo console and streaming. Lots of compatible android apps and many more...
