I have used this product for years. I prefer it to gels you have to put on prior to drying your hair. It works just like the video on the product page says. It does not have much of a scent which I like and it is invisible once you rub it onto your fingers before applying to hair. You can use your fingers or pick type comb to style your hair the way you want it and it will hold up well. I have short hair and typically I can sleep on it and then restyle the next day without having to wash my hair so frequently.

Great hair balm! Not super strong but that shouldn’t be expected considering this is labeled as light hold. It’s perfect to give a bit of piecey-ness and texture. Works well for flyaways without looking like you have your hair plastered down. Beautiful end result! Knocked off one star because it’s a bit pricey ($30)

Wow,I did not expect this to be so good to my hair.I do have a lot of broken hair , my hair is coarse and color treated, extremely hard to get it to do what I want.I wanted to try this Ecru styling balm to just tame flyaways , yet it turned out that this does so much more for my hair.Once I brushed this in I noticed a great improvement in my hairs texture. The amount of frizz was greatly reduced , my hair felt soft and got a beautiful sheen. I love that I need to use so little to get the effect and it lasts . It doesn’t leave your hair oily looking like some other balms and does wonders for ends that really need a trim.The scent is fresh and pleasant .Definitely a Wow product for battled, brittle, frizzy ,straw like hair !

it says New York does not mean it's New York quality. I put this in my hair, and it left me feeling dirty for the rest of the day. It was as if I hadn't shampooed (or showered) for a week. My hair felt so dirty. The only plus side and that's if you have thin hair, it thickens the appearance of your hair. So sure, if you want to have dirty but thick-looking hair, knock yourself out. If not, I do not recommend.

I purchased this product for my teenage son and it is very good. It has a light floral fragrance that isn't super noticeable. I was worried it would be sticky out of the tub, but when I rubbed it in my hands, it "melted down" and the stickiness went away. It was easy to apply to my son's hair and it held really well while keeping his hair soft and flexible. He was able to touch up his hair with his fingertips throughout the day and it stayed nice looking.This is a very good styling balm. It doesn't leave the hair crunchy or sticky like some other brands. I recommend this product for it's good hold and natural (non glossy or crunchy) finish.

Says to apply to dry hair to add definition but I didn't notice any difference in my hair after using it other than the smell.

If you are looking for a light, pliable, styling balm hair "cream", this is for you. Great for ponytail dews or those looking to add some volume to their hairstyle. The texture is like a light wax cream, smooth and easy to work with. The scent is decent and nonoffensive. It provides a reliable hold that can be easily manipulated and reshaped throughout the day. Additionally, it doesn't leave any residue or cause unwanted stiffness and washes off easily.

This is a light hold product, as noted in the listing. I found it to be decent for holding a style in my son's hair, and as a finishing product for my own natural waves.But my quibble with this is that it doesn't hold for very long. Definitely not all day. Only a few hours after styling, my son's hair looked like it had never been styled. (He's careful to not touch it much. His picture here was taken right after it was styled.) And what smoothing effect it had on my hair was gone pretty quickly too.We both liked the smell of this. It's mild, nondescript and doesn't linger.It's easy to extract only a small amount, since it's like a firm wax in the jar. Then it warms quickly on your fingers.I like this product OK, but it's not my favorite. I prefer a styling balm with better longevity.
