Pretty Good
I use #3 thread to crochet with beads. I am comparing it to DMC Petra, Aunt Lydia's, and Lizbeth Cordonet:The thread size is right on with the other brands and the color is good. I like the size of the ball. It does feel a bit rougher on my fingers than the others and it tends to twist more. I had a pretty good knot at one point, which I haven't gotten with the other brands so far, though the Lizbeth does get pretty twisted, too. When I was finishing a piece, a nearby segment was not braided properly and very bulky! If it had been within the piece, I'd have had to cut it out and start over. Maybe just a random defect? I hope so.If I were to rank the above brands, I prefer DMC Petra with the Lizbeth second. However, the Lizbeth is slightly thicker and some of my bead pores won't go on it. I think the ThreadArt and Aunt Lydia's are tied for third.Since your usage may be different, I thought I'd point out what I found for my purposes. I will get good use of this ball.

Just right
I really liked this crochet thread - something about it, the feel of it etc and the pale color was really pretty

Split thread, inaccurate color, knots in fresh skein--Not a fan. I will not buy brand again.
I was expecting a tan color but this is natural. More problematic, however, is that the thread splits easily while I am crocheting. Lastly, very early onto my project, a knot appeared in the fresh thread that I could not remove. The thread tore while I was trying to untangle the knot--that part of the work has to be redone from the beginning. I'm going back to Aunt Lydia's--I only tried this for the promising shade which was not accurate.

Right color, wrong size
I use this thread for inkle weaving. I generally think the size 10 is too thin for my taste, but that's the size in the rest of my collection, so I ordered the 10 in Navy. I really like the color, but they sent size 3 thread, which is thicker and what I actually prefer. It's not worth it to send back; I will still use it.

Will purchase again
I feel it is comparable with other brand name threads and it crochets up very nicely. I primarily make lace and this works well. The color is very rich, which gives my work more visual appeal.

Dependable
I've bought this item multiple times because I enjoy using it for bead crochet projects. It is cotton, and pretty sturdy. If i have to pull really hard to fix a knot it sometimes breaks the string but that doesn't happen often. Definitely worth the money, and I'll continue to purchase.
