Sturdy Craftsmanship, Excellent Audio
Composer / Arranger / Audio EngineerMy Scarlet 2i4 failed me after three years of daily usage. I wanted something very similar, but capable of a full 32-bit 192k audio capture - which led me to the Steinberg UR22C.In hand, the UR22C is compact and heavy. The knobs and buttons feel geat, and the design is minimalistic and sleek.Setup isn't quite plug-and-play. The included guide has easy instructions on downloading the drivers, which by the way are far superior to Focusrite's drivers. The 'Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver' has a menu that lets you choose the USB connection type, sample rate, latency mode & buffer size. On the lowest latency settings, my audio's round trip is just shy of 2ms. Its worth noting that when using Pro Tools (maybe other DAWs as well) you cannot change the audio buffer size from within the DAW - you need to use the USB driver's menu. The interface came with a code for Cubase AI/LE. The code I received was not valid due to an issue with 'double printing'. Steinberg's website addresses this and has a system in place to replace your code.Audio sounds absolutely flawless. No issues there.I was only going to spend ~$100 on an interface, but this was so worth it. 10/10 in my book.

Works exactly as advertised
Great interface for solo hobby recording like what I do from home in my spare time. Works great with my humbucker equipt electric guitar and has plenty of gain for condenser mics. Preamps get a little too noisy for my taste on dynamics, even my higher output Heil PR40 dynamic, so plan on getting a Cloudlifter or other inline signal boosting preamp if you plan to use a dynamic mic on quieter sources like spoken word. The dspMixFx software is simple and easy to use with a very short learning curve. I use this on a Windows 11 machine with Intel Alder Lake CPU and Z690 motherboard without any issues at all.As a plus (for me) the phantom power switch is on the rear of the unit instead of the front like most other audio interfaces, so you're much less likely to bump the +48v on or off by accident.

Great Interface but needs an On-Off Button!
Up Grading my Home Studio from a Steinberg UR242 with USB 2.0 to the NEW Steinberg UR66C was a good upgrade. In the past the older interface had some latency that was easily controlled by adjusting the buffer size. For me this Buffer had to be changed depending on if I was recording or just mixing which was easy enough to do but one more step that I didn’t need to waste time on.The UR66C with its USB 3.0 connected through my USB 3.1 and “Super Speed” driver selected, this interface needed no buffer adjustments at all. Sound quality is Awesome as it is with all Steinberg products. Solid Build, Great Feel to the Knobs. Now for what I do not like…As with all products there will be something that you don’t like. This product is no different. In Steinberg’s Re-Design they took away the On-Off (power button) that use to be located on the back corner by the power plug. Without this On-Off button this interface is Always On. This may be fine for those of you that have a Full Time Studio but for my home studio this causes problem. For Music Production I boot to a Stripped Down Win 10 Boot Drive that has nothing but CuBase 10 PRO on it and in that situation “Always On” is OK. BUT this computer is also used as a Home Theater PC and needs to use the 6.1 Surround Sound Card and NOT the USB Interface... In that situation without an On-Off button you have to unplug the unit which is very inconvenient or leave it on which I don’t like to do.All in all, I love this interface but it really needs an On-Off button… Because of this I will have to connect the power supply to a switched outlet.SYSTEM:Gigibyte GA-Z170mx-gaming 5i7- 7700K processor32Gb DDR42-Samsung EVO 250Gb SSDEVGA GeForce 1070 8Gb

This thing weighs a lot more than it looks
I'm not the biggest fan of the ergonomics of it.1. The only way to turn it off is to switch it from USB-C power to MicroUSB, using a tiny switch on the back. I'm fine reaching across the desk to accomplish this, but sometimes you just want a power switch right at the front.2. The only way to switch +48v is a tiny switch on the back of it. Look, I know this sounds like I'm repeating myself, but damn I wish it were a button or switch on the front panel.BUTHere's why neither of those things matter: I am using a rather tough to power condenser, and I had to turn the gain up quite a bit, but you know what? I don't hear noise. In fact, I don't hear the system noise until I am very close to 95% of maximum gain, well past where I get a good signal going for -12 to -6The thing must have all of it's power supply and wires in the back of the unit, because this thing is quiet!I cranked my D-75A to max, cranked the UR-22C monitor knob to max, and I have to place my head right about six inches from the speaker to hear the faintest hiss. Meanwhile, that would pop my ear wide open if I played something at those levels. At unity, it's silent!Playback is clear, but my monitors are not isolated from the table and one is next to a corner and yadda yadda I really can't comment on the sonic purity of the signal, but it is clear. Played some CD rips through the system and they sound nice and flat, just as they should on my system.I am waiting for my new computer before I install any included software, but I am looking forward to the built in DSP functionality.Edit:The supplied DSP effects are solid and can be used for playback/monitor only OR record friendly for a track. There's a couple guitar amp effects and a Compressor+EQ with independent operation. Also the reverb send/return busses are a neat addition.I use the EQ + Comp to give my condenser a little more closeness and it works as intended, nothing sticks out, very controllable and worth using to spice up playback.Nothing about the UR-22c has disappointed me, or let me down, it's exactly what I bought, exactly what I hoped to get integrated into my system.

Replace a Focusrite with this...
The Focusrite didnt work with my new laptop's USB-3 connectors. I read that this would, so I tried it, and it does.

Steinberg UR24C 2x4 USB 3.0 Audio Interface
I must say that the Steinberg audio interface is fantastic! Its performance is excellent. However, the only issue is with its drivers. One may need to do some detective work to locate and install them. But overall, it's a brilliant piece of audio equipment that I love.

Only Audio Interface with Dsp Effects
The build Quality and recording quality is quite good as it’s a Yamaha product. Also this is the only audio interface which provides dsp effects like Compressor, noise gate, reverb, delay, ducker, morphing channel via both ios app or desktop and mac app. You can livestream with dsp effects through iphone app and also connect tanpura app. No other audio interface provide dsp effect via ios app.

It’s a Steinberg / Yamaha product!
This unit is amazing! It has enough power to drive a professional studio XLR mic. without a single trace of noise and the Beyerdynamic’s DT770 Pro 250 OHM headphones both at the same time. Other units out there, have had problems with either or both....It comes with great software, however, I’ve been able to work with this unit without the need to install more stuff on my computer...
