I love this movie

Many people don't even know this "Jumanji" movie even exists, it's a stand-alone to the Jumanji movies/book. It's a really fun movie!

Great movie

If you liked the original Jumanji (which, of course you did), and if you like space (I mean, everyone does, right?), and if you like acting that isn't as good as 90's Robin Williams, then you will definitely LOVE this movie. Realistically, it's not as good as Jumanji, but it's still a lot of fun. It's totally worth seeing and is probably underrated. It's a fun family movie night watch, especially if it's done in conjunction with the original Jumanji!

In the spirit of Jumanji this film has it all! Humor, adventure, suspense, and heart-warming moments. It is a clean family film. So, make it a movie night; pop the popcorn, order a pizza, and buckle in for this wild-ride of a film, great for the whole family!

Pretty good. Tried to get my granddaughter interested. She wasn't having it. I'll try again.

BEST FOR CHILDREN'S FILM

Als ich mir gestern diesen Film angesehen habe, hatte ich zunächst ein schwachen Jumanji-Abklatsch im Weltall erwartet! Weit gefehlt! Der Film ist mindestens genauso gut wie das bodenständigere Original.Der traurige Grund, warum dieser Film an den Kinokassen durchfiehl, liegt wohl an seinem Setting. Alles was mit Weltall zu tun hat scheint in diesem Jahrzehnt, das von Fantasy- und Comic-Filmen dominiert wird, bereits schon deshalb keine Chance zu haben, weil es eben im Weltall spielt. In der Ära nach dem (hoffentlich nur vorrübergehenden) Untergang von Star Trek reiht sich ein SciFi-Flopp an den Anderen. Dabei hätte dieser spaßige, toll gemachte Film wahrlich mehr verdient gehabt...Während des Films musste ich weniger an Jumanji denken (trotz des gleichen Autors und der selben Grundidee), sondern eher an alte leichtfüssige Weltraumabenteuer aus den 80er-Jahren, in denen Kinder stets im Mittelpunkt standen. Erinnerunen an "Explorers" und "Der Flug des Navigators" wurden wach, wenngleich "Zathura" natürlich um einiges tricktechnisch reifer ist. Für mich als Kind der 80er und frühen 90er wirkt dieser Film wie in eine Rückkehr in andere Zeiten, als Star Trek und das alte Galactica noch cool waren und sich ein SciFi-Blockbuster an den anderen reihte...mit mehr Erfolg, als diesem Film beschieden war...Zathura kam einfach zu spät...oder er war seiner Zeit sogar voraus. Denn vielleicht dreht sich das Blatt in den nächsten Jahren wieder zu Gunsten der Tiefen des Alls...

Its an okay one time watch. Imitation of Jumanji without any trace of imagination.
