Highly Recommend
This is my second Lite Staff and I am very grateful that I have now found it on Amazon. I have Multiple Sclerosis and severe balance issues so a shorter normal cane doesn't help, i.e. this Lite Staff allows me to walk without using a walker. My original Lite Staff is over 10 years old and still looks and works great. I ordered this one because I could no longer find it anywhere else and I was afraid if I ever lost it I would be out of luck. This walking staff is amazing! It is lightweight, durable and I actually am frequently asked where I got it from when I am out an about. People often don't realize that I have a disability because this staff allows me to put my entire weight on it when walking, climbing stairs or just keeping up with the flow. I am very grateful since this keeps me up and mobile.

a decent hiking staff
this staff is nice but has almost doubled in price since i bought my last one many years ago. i wanted a pair to use as hiking poles for more stability and recently purchased this one. the foam handle is not as robust as it should be. the weight is very light and the staff is surprisingly strong. i also prefer this single pole over any adjustable pole but carrying it thru an airport might be challenging. this staff has been reliable and at my side for many miles on the mountain trails in north georgia and the carolinas. i am also disappointed that cascade designs is no longer making this great product and wish they would reconsider.

Tracks Lite -Sturdy but Light!
This is my second tracks lite. (My first Tracks Lite was taken over by another hiker who liked it a lot.) It is ergonomic in that it fits the hand and the strap is handy and comfortable. It has the advantage of coming in several lengths to account for your height, but none of the problems of adjustable poles that can collapse in mid-hike! The light weight makes it easy to use without tiring. The non-skid end makes it better to use for snowy and rocky terrain than poles with points.
