Forget the blurple; this is where it's at! (Amazon KingBrite alternative?!) Needs cooling.
I had one of Bloomspect's blurple lights before, with the integrated fan and dimmer control and all that for growing my various garden plants. (Not weed, in this case.) After talking to a family member who grows bud for a living and is thus super familiar with indoor lights, I learned that these cob-style LEDs are the way to go. The results I've gotten from this since I ordered it a little over a year ago seem to back that up! My plants are much happier--plants under the other light ended up getting slowed growth as they matured and some other negative symptoms that went away with this light. Since the reviewers didn't seem to have that problem, perhaps the spectrum of the blurple may be sufficient for cannabis, but not ideal for some other plants? Just a guess, to be honest. One important thing is you will probably want some sort of cooling for this, if you want it to last a long time. A simple fan pointed in its direction works fine, or you can do what I did and just attach a small computer fan to the mounting cable such that it blows downward on the light. This way, I don't have to worry about whether my other fan is pointing at the bulb and can instead just put it where I want it.I chose this over KingBrite because it was the middle of the pandemic, and it was going to take an even-longer-than-normal time to order from that big Chinese website KingBrite sells through. I have some concerns reading the reviews that the LEDs are not what are advertised. If so, this concerns me to some degree, since I paid a price premium to not have to wait on Kingbrite, I at least expect to get what is promised. I don't have the knowledge to tell whether these are the right LEDs through the conformal coating, and I'm not tearing them apart (particularly because they work great, and have lasted over a year.Update: 2 years in and going strong! 1 IR LED appears to have become a _slightly_ dimmer red color, but it's really tough to know for sure since humans can't see the true light emitted to begin with. Really can't complain, that's a tiny portion of the total LEDs, and I've let it run without cooling some of the time, which is prob responsible. Anyway, still recommend highly.

Great value, right spectrum, well built!
I've used this for almost a month and so far it seems to be an exceptional light. I bought one at $99.99 and it is doing very well for seedlings. The price has now dropped to $79.99 so I will buy two more for veg and flower. That's $260 for 300 watts actual power in the perfect spectrum for all stages of growth with light footprint coverage of about 3'x6' which fills most small grow set ups for half the price of others. They also run quite cool even without a built in fan. I use a small clip on fan just to keep air circulation to prevent mold growth. All things considered, I believe these will serve well for many grows. Quantum boards are far superior to the "blurple" lights.

Incredible
This grow light is absolutely incredible! I love that the gray light comes with adjustable wires and an easy hanging kit, and the ability to adjust the brightness to the perfect levels. I feel the spread on the square light is perfect for my need and this should support most plants through their entire life cycle.

Good starter light I would use for veg/bloom
I don't like how cheap it's made but it's a cheap price it could benefit from a shroud cover but then it wouldn't be so cheap DO NOT TOUCH with any metal while plugged in on the LED side. I learned that on a different but same kinda style light. Yes a wedding ring could ark and ruin the entire board. Which is why I bought this it was cheap and had faster delivery time. Is it cool no is it warm no it's hot but not as hot as a maxisun light. Should it have fans maybe will it work for more then 4 grows possibly but throw it out every year and replace because it gets way to hot to not degrade the LEDs in a year's time. Lets talk about coverage no idea yet but I do know I have it 16 inches in veg stage away from my plants and only 2 plants because I push umol and how it effects plants and how much is to much or not enough is something I'm not going to cover. This light is possible for 3-4 plants in a 2x2 flower but not amazing yields 2-3 plants probably not amazing but good unless you know what your doing then you could have amazing yields but you probably won't be using this light if you knew what you where doing you will have way better yields 1-2 plants probably 2 is good. 1 plant great but only if you have height for that. Otherwise stick with 2-3 plants. I have bought 5 different brands (cheap lights)for testing so far this one is my preferred light based on veg results. Would I use this for seedlings or clones nope why it's a waste of power and way to hot. Seedlings and clones do very good on a blurple 45 watt LED about 6-8 inches from tops.
