Not 100% Vegetable Oil
Positive: Nice, big bar. Smells good. Cleans. Negative: I felt that the description of the soap was a little misleading. When I read "Handmade," I assumed that the soap was made by hand (using saponification) without a lot of additives. When the label read "100% Vegetable Oil," I assumed vegetable oil was used in the initial saponification process. The ingredients listed (in order) was Sorbitol (a sugar alcohol), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Stearate (soap), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (surfactant found in detergents), Water, Glycerine, Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, Sodium Myristate (soap), 5 other ingredients, Goat's Milk, Fragrance, and finally, Color. Most vegetable oils contain <5% Stearic Acid, and usually have several different fatty acids in them. This soap contained only 2 saponified fatty acids, and the saponified Stearic Acid (Sodium Stearate) was the largest one. Sorbitol and Propylene Glycol is not derived from vegetable oils. Sodium Laureth Sulfate is synthetically made. Are the ingredients harmful -- no, this bar of soap contains ingredients found in most commercially prepared bath soaps. But, I would NOT call it "100% Vegetable Oil," nor "Handmade." I think that my soap bar of Dial (R) contains more soap than this!

The soaps are great! The price is a little steep though, I bought these soaps in Amish country in Indiana, they were only 1.75 a piece there. But I love the way they feel on my face.

Great for sensitive skin!
Incredible for sensitive skin! I have an extraordinarily difficult time finding soaps that do not irritate my skin and also have some sort of pleasant smell to them. The oatmeal on the back of the bar of soap helps exfoliate skin, so double bonus!

I love Edna Lucille's homemade soaps. My skin feel' s so nourished and soft after bathing and throughout the day. Will not go back to regular soaps again.

Lasts a long time.
Skin doesn't feel as dried out. Lasts a long time. Like it better than regular soaps. Smell not overwhelming like others.
