wow
Stunned at how well this dropper works. I bought it for my hardtail that doesn't see much use so I figured if it turned out to be a cheapo post, no big deal. Well so far it's just as smooth and responsive as my KS Lev DX that sits on my ibis mojo. In fact it's currently better than my Lev in terms of the dropper responding to the press of the remote. I can feather the lever and make micro adjustments to the dropper's height which is not something I can do with the Lev. I can't say how this thing will hold up after repeated use but so far I can't believe how good this thing feels to use. Hell of a deal.

it's a little heavy but it rises and falls very fast
Only once did the seat lower by it self as i rode, however once I tightened the seat clamp that came with the bike, it never did that again. It's not light weight, but so far it works perfectly. You're going to want to spray lubrication in the cavity where the lever moves up & down and every few rides use ear cotton swabs to wipe away the dirt that builds up in it. Because the dirt can cause friction for the lever to move up & down efficiently. There is no need to put air in it, which is convenient. The seat release trigger is sturdy. My bike has internal cable holes, but I have a large bike and i didn't find the cable long enough to do that. so I have it routed externally with rubber bands to hold it close to the the frame. i can turn easier now and lean in on curves better without worrying about my tires sliding out from under me or worse using my brakes to slow my momentum on a sharp curve. Now I can lean further and just fly without the seat getting in the way. I'm much more agile on the slow technical parts as well. Put it this way, I've had it for a few weeks now and i haven't fallen yet. before i would always fall. i feel safer and more confident. i can conquer any trail now with a solid victory. i highly recommend this product. It doesn't punch you in the butt hard when it rises. It simply glides up quickly and safely. No worries on a sudden upward jolt of pressure.

I'll never go back to not having a dropper
This is my first dropper post and I dont know why you'd pay more. It works great and was pretty easy to install. It was missing one little piece where the cable housing meets the handle but my local bike shop gave me one. Today was my first ride on a nice technical trails. The dropper worked flawlessly. It drops smoothly and returns back up quickly and quietly. It truly changes how you ride for the better. Only 4 stars because of the missing piece

Such a good deal
Incredible deal. Works as expected, easy install, and for $99. Can't beat it.

Fantastic dropper post for close to nothing!
Update 2019:Had the dropper post for some time now and while working it has been great. Unfortunately, the actuator on the post stopped working for me. Not moving any stars down though because the customer service and responsiveness of the seller has been such a great experience. They sent me a new one no charge and are very nice. The post is worth the investment as a budget friendly option, and works like a charm. Highly recommend.original review:This thing has worked great thus far and is a vital tool to mountain biking when it's not all uphill and all downhill. I live where you are contantly climbing and descending, so this thing works like a charm for seat position on the fly. I went with the spring because it's so cheap, and honestly, the weight has not been an issue at all. Maybe if you're a serious serious mtber you want the air post, but this requires virtually no set up or maintenance. Thanks DNM!

Great value, Works great, with smooth operation
This works as good as I could hope for. It is well built and has smooth operation. It came with a sleeve to fit my wider diameter post. I took a chance on this instead of paying double or triple on higher end dropper posts. I started to install it myself but I chickened out because the instructions were not very good. So, for $25 my local bike shop installed it. I recommend you do the same.... it will save you a lot of frustration. Note that the cable is NOT internal routing, but that was ok with me but you may not want that. Also, it is spring loaded, not pneumatic, which is also fine with me as long as it works good, and it does! I highly recommend this if you want a good dropper post for a great price. It comes with all the parts you need, including the cable, lever, etc

Poorly engineered... control cable design gets in the way when the post is dropped.
Missing the set-screw for the cable lock. Instructions for installation very poorly written. The instructions did not show how to assemble and route the cable.I was able to figure it out by successive trial and error and trips to my parts bin. Design is such that the cable bunches up when you drop. The cable is located on one side or the other. When the post drops the cable pushed out to the side and hit my leg. I did not even take it out for a ride. I am returning it. Great price, but not well engineered.

Reliability is a big issue
Since the cable is attached to the moving part of the dropper post the end of the cable housing gets bent and the cable gets stuck open making this seatpost useless, I have had to replace the cable and cable housing twice in just a few rides and both times I had to finish my ride with the seatpost moving without me having to touch the lever, making my bike almost unrideable, Do not buy!
