Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Enamel Repair 4-Ounce (3 Pack)

There are a lot of confusing comments so I thought I would simply state some facts. I ordered 2 days ago and got the package today. It is 8% arginine and 1.1% monoflourophosphate. The arginine works great--my tooth sensitivity is gone.The box says it is produced by Colgate Canada and manufactured in Brazil. The expiration date is Dec 2018, which is a year and a half away.The confusing part is that the Amazon website has errors in it.It does correctly state that it is Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Enamel Repair. The site picture of the box has recently been removed but was correct and the current tube picture is correct. It must say Enamel Repair to get the right product.Incorrect information is that it is 1500 PPM flouride, which converted is .15%. It is actually 1.1% monoflourophosphate,The site says it is a 4 oz tube. Actual package says it is 120 ml. These are almost equivalent, but important to know as other offerings on Amazon for arginine toothpaste are for 75 ml tubes.The site never uses the term arginine or Pro-Argin. Instead it only uses the confusing, obtuse marketing jargon, "Clinically Proven Sensitivity Relief Technology," and "Helps repair weakened areas of teeth."Summary: Great product, good price and poor web site information. Research arginine and you will find several professional studies identifying its benefits for treating sensitive teeth. My wife and I have been very happy with the results.

This is the best toothpaste for folks with sensitive teeth!!!I have tried all the other brands and nothing came close to the relief this one provided.One key point is not to rinse out your mouth after brushing so that the paste fills the worn out enamel.Also high recommend to use the mouth wash with it. This product is a little pricey, but pain relief is valuable to me. I read the reviews and felt that roughly $30 was worth a try. The taste and consistency are about the same as most any toothpaste in my opinion. My furthest back molar has recently become sensitive to everything - hot, cold, sweetness, even chewing food. A visit to my dentist didn't result in any answers. I followed package directions for immediate relief and massaged this toothpaste into the problematic tooth for 1 minute, then proceeded to brush as usual. I followed up with room temperature mouthwash, which has been unbearable of late without first allowing it to warm up a bit in my mouth. In order to give this a proper test I braced myself and immediately swished the mouthwash around. To my pleasure it was completely tolerable and I barely felt anything at all. Since I felt like that may have removed some of the product's effectiveness, I massaged a bit more on the affected tooth afterwards. If that is the greatest relief achieved I'd say it's worth it, but I look forward to what the next weeks and months bring. My product appears to be Canadian in branding yet manufactured in Brazil. The expiration date is October 2022, which is fine. If you suffer from tooth sensitivity I'd give it a try. $30 every 18 months isn't really that expensive when we're talking about pain. I'll update my review should I think anything further should be added down the road.

This toothpaste relieved my pain in one tooth. This tooth recently became very sensitive to cold and to chewing pressure. Nothing suspicious showed on the x-ray. The dentist thought I would need a root canal and suggested I try this first. I noticed some relief after the first use and it only took about 2 weeks of regular use to give me full relief. It is expensive but worth it. I've been using it twice daily for about 3 months and I could not be more pleased.The instructions suggest massaging it on the tooth with your finger tip. I brush and floss normally using this paste and then rinse. About every other evening I add a step at the end: I massage in a small portion onto the sensitive tooth using my manual tooth brush and then let it sit maybe 5 minutes before rinsing. I am very careful not to swallow any.

Currently, there is no competing product in the over-the-counter American market with the same combined potency of potassium nitrate and flouride as this. However, when I called Colgate to inquire about the suspicious expiration date (3 months from the date of order), they told me this product had been discontinued in August, 2014. They also said, based on the lot number on the tube, that the product I was sent was manufactured in November, 2013. That means it's been sitting on a shelf for nearly two years. Colgate said the product does not "go bad," but that potency of active ingredients degrades with time and environmental conditions -- something to keep in mind, since you can no longer order this product new.

I've always had a tooth or two that was a tiny bit sensitive to cold food/beverages, but all of a sudden that sensitivity sky rocketed; so I decided to do some research on sensitive toothpastes & see if there was a brand out there that seemed to do what it says it does as well as people actually liking it. I've heard weird things about sensitive toothpastes before & I consider myself a pretty picky toothpaste user, but I found this brand which had great reviews on a couple other sites so I figured I'd give it a try -- to my surprise this toothpaste tasted just fine (not sure if it matters or not, but I normally use Colgate brand toothpaste). It doesn't actually have much of a taste & I don't notice any weird aftertastes either. I started noticing a difference in my tooth sensitivity only after a few days of using it too (brushing per normal once in the morning & once at night). After using it for a month or so now, I barely notice the sensitivity at all. Highly recommend.
