This the most verifiable an honest book I have ever came upon, for both amateur and professional astronomers in America, only! The faint one have been deleted form the drawings by the following magazines in America: Sky and in Telescope Astronomy! However the two Magazines still have numerous and elimination of high end copyrighted material from R. Brunetto-LS 5258 and private Ph.D. reacher!!

Depends why you are buying the book. I had heard many romantic stories about the origin of constellations, like the one on one episode of big bang theory as told by Koothrappali, but this book had none of that. I’m pretty sure some of the origins are epic or heroic themes such as Orion. But It was very cut and dry and boring. None of the other books I looked at on Amazon seem to be any more creative. Too bad.

Enjoy the book but it is GP rating. Was intending to give to my Grandson, but not at this tender age.

not grand sized but interesting and seems to be based on myth and astrology.

I was hoping for a book to share the stories/myths/legends/origins of the stars with my 5 year old but found this lacking. If all you want is a picture of constellations and a barely intelligible synopsis go for it. If you have no previous knowledge of constellations and are hoping for education this won't get you there.

Lovely to look at and hold. I bought myself a copy after seeing the one my brother gave my father at Christmas. (He was delighted as well. Proof that this title works well as a gift for the hard-to-shop-for.)

Hardly ever leave reviews which is bad of me but this is such a pet peeve of mine… WHY OH WHY can’t we enjoy a lovely book cover art without a STUPID super sticky sticker on it?!? Obviously bought as an xmas gift so it has to cone off… I would’ve tried to steam the sticker loose with an iron or hot flannel but with the semi-fibrous texture to the hardback cover I feared I would discolour the gift. So so irritating!! Sort it out guys…. Not a good way to do this lovely book justice 😫

There was nothing to dislike about the prompt service my order received and I got a book that I wanted at a price I could afford at a time when I can hardly venture outside.

The media could not be loaded.  It's a nice book but in the copy i received pages 180 through to 195 were missing (????) and replaced with an index. then it got to page 196 again and repeated the index. Tucana, Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, Vela, Virgo, and Volans were just missing.

Beautifully made and the stories are very enlightening. Each story has a different style and they are very interesting, a definite MUST for those who are interested in constellations and stars, but who also love a good story.

A book of love - poetic feeling and respect for our wonderful universe - that I will give to a lady friend who is not my wife without feeling guilty.Wonderful prose and how I love the subject matter.
