It's not "Tonkotsu"
For those who complain about it's not Tonkotsu and its more like soy sauce base, please research before purchaseIt is "Kamadare Tonkotsu", according to Ichiran, the sauce is from cooking Chashu, so it will be more soy sauce base, if you want regular Tonkostsu just get the original one, I think is cheaper tooPersonally I own both version, I will say the Kamadare one will be better to try it in the store with the fattier Chashu; at home will be better with the regular version if you pair it with regular Chashu you can purchase from your local Japanese market

Good, but Original is Better...
I wanted to try this version because I LOVE the original instant noodles from Ichiran. Don't get me wrong, this is good but it has more of a soy flavor and less of a pork flavor and it doesn't seem as rich as the original. This is solid, but I prefer the original.

Not normal tonkotsu but absolutely delicious
Received this as a gift, one of the best instant ramens I've ever had. Dark broth, fatty and rich with soy sauce flavor.

This is the DARK pork bone flavor, not the light one
There are 2 types of the Ichiran pork bone ramen broth, the light and the dark, this is the dark one. The dark pork bone soup has more of a miso & soy base. This is still very delicious, but a very different flavor profile to the light pork bone broth. Personally, I love both of them, but if you're looking for the light one, don't buy this listing. Look for just Tonkotsu in the listing title, that is just the light pork bone soup, Kamadare Tonkotsu is the dark pork bone soup.I love how versatile these Ichiran ramen sets are, to me their well worth the cost for that specific Ichiran flavor. I pair them with sliced pork belly baked in the oven with a coating of sweet & spice BBQ dry rub, or simply pan-fried diced bacon or shredded rotisserie chicken! Sometimes I just pan-cook some mushrooms & garlic for it and skip the meat. You don't need to get complex to really make a special meal out of this ramen. Oh, and for the soft-boiled eggs, I usually wash them well and pop them in to cook with the noodles, it's usually a perfect boil time for them and I get everything done at the same time with minimal pan use.Hope this helps!

Not pork bone broth, but soy broth
The broth packet was supposed to be pork bone but was instead was a very strong soy sauce base and was not good at all. I made this purchase because it said it was Tonkotsu based but it is not. The noodles and spice packet are on point but not the broth. Will never buy again. I poured a packet in the sink to see if maybe my first packet was bad but it was the same. The third photo was pork bone broth from a proper source in Brooklyn, NY
