I have used the quarter inch impact for many house and garage projects. I really like the option to adjust the impact rate, but I normally leave it in the precision drive and bump it up to normal drive mode if need be. The impact also has a high speed/heavy impact mode which can generate 156 FT/lbs of torque. Whoa! You have to be careful there (SNAP!) as that is a LOT of torque for a quarter inch driver. The compact size allows usage in really tight spaces and the small 2 amp/hour battery is perfect for compact and lightweight usage. Yes, it is a powerhouse in a little package, a great tool.The half inch hammer drill is also superb. I love the variable impact rate and this drill made short work out of drilling holes in my 5000psi concrete porch deck. The big 8 amp/hour battery really makes this hammer drill sing. It is heavy, but perfect for this hammer drill for all day action. Again, a great tool.I already had many other tools and chargers, but the included charger is nicer than my others in that it has a higher output for bigger batteries. Thus, they charge twice as fast.Nothing but good things to say about this set. It is an investment, but will pay for itself in no time in quality and reliability.

I held out as long as I could before buying this Hammer Drill and Impact driver set from DeWalt. I waited a very long time until my Craftsman drill finally gave up after about 20 years. Luckily, I caught what I feel was a good price for this set and made the purchase. I've only used the impact driver and the hammer drill a couple of times each so far, but they feel a lot better in my hands, they produce more power, and I just feel happy using my new tools. Not only that, but they compliment my other DeWalt 20v XR tools such as my impact gun and my reciprocating saw. I couldn't be happier at this time!

Have been using these personally and professionally since the day they arrived. At no point have they faltered. Way faster and stronger than my old Ryobi set that was finally giving up the ghost. Wish I had these long ago the value is immense. The 8AH battery lasts forever and the fast charger is awesome.

I found this to be an exceptional value. I already had a bunch of 20 volt tools and when my old Dewalt hammer drill finally gave out this is what I chose. Perhaps a little heavy with the 8 amp battery, I generally use a 5 amp when using the drill. Love the 8 amp battery in my full size cordless saw though.

Plenty of power. The hammer drill has a metal chuck that I wanted. High amp battery charges fast with the provided charger. It did take longer than I would have liked to receive it, but I knew it would take a while.
