Give Bezino some respect
This album isn't bad for his first solo release! Most people are hating it lately cause he beefed with Eminem! Also most people sleep on Benzino's production skills. He made almost all the beats on this album! Sure his rhyme aren't the most complex but it gets the job done, there are so many worst rappers then him! Standout songs Bang ta dis, Feel your Pain, Any Questions(My favorate track), No Parts of us, Figadoh(my second favorate), The Jump up and boottee(Nobody can front on this club banger)! I would rather pick The Benzino Remix Project over this, cause it has all these songs except it has the bang ta dis remix featuring prodigy and bars n hooks, the boottee remix featuring Fabolous and G-Dep, and the Figadoh remix featuring Busta and M.O.P.!All and all a good album, not great but far from horrible! His new album Redemption is much better! I'd cop that before getting any other Benzino album!

well.....
"bootee" is a hot track and the best is "bang ta dis". it's a very haunting sounding song and it's got one of the best beats ever. this guy doesn't deserved to get dissed. he owns source magazine and before xxl came out everyone was reading the source. you can't hate it; it would be like saying krs-one is lame. at least this guy isn't some lil flip or b.g. or memphis bleek or fat joe or whatever else.....man there are just so many wack rappers today. but as for benzino, i think he's becoming a good rapper. this album was hot though

more like 3.5 stars from benzino
For his solo debut, Benzino does an alright job, mostly the guest list (which is huge) is what makes the album better. Being around for years with teh Almighty RSO and Made Men he had somewhat of a name for himself, not to mention his psition with the Source magazine, but his flow and rapping are average at best, like I said the guests make the album. It has 1 classic, 9 good songs, 4 are ok and 3 I skip. Every song but 2 has a gust or guests on it. Production is pretty good, mostly handled by Hangmen 3, who did all but 4 songs. Teddy Riley did 2, Puff Dady and Tone & Poke each did 1. anice album for his fans and his bes of his first 2, I still don't have "Arch nemesis".#2 - 8#3 - 8#4 - 10 (CLASSIC -- f/ Outlawz {Kastro, Young Noble, Napoleon, Edi amin} -- great beat)#5 - 8 (f/ Made Men)#6 - 7 (Antonio Twice Thou of Made Men)#7 - 8 (f/ Scarface & Snoop Dogg)#8 - (nice beat and a funny interlude)#9 - 8.5 (f/ Pink -- tight beat)#11 - 5 (f/ Foxy Brown)#12 - 7 (f/ Black Rob)#13 - 8 (f/ Prodigy of Mobb Deep and Bobby Brown)#15 - 5 (f/ Bobby Brown & Mr. Gzus of Made Men)#17 - 8#19 - 5 (f/ Mr. Gzus of made Men and Teddy Riley)#20 - 9 (f/ Cormega & Raekwon -- tight beat)#21 - 8 (f/ Case and his son Ray Ray - tight beat)#22 - 7 (Mike McNeil solo)#24 - 7.5 (f/ Weirdo, KT, Luv, Prince, Smoke, OT)Raymond Scott - Boston, Masscheck all my reviews

Mr. Benzino Reps Boston Again
The first time i heard Benzino was when the Made Men cd came out.I was feelin that cd and its still one of my favorites . Ray represents Boston again with his solo album The Benzino Project .When i heard Bang Ta Dis I knew that the cd would be tight . So as soon as i seen it was out i copped it.This album is dope ashell .The thing i like best about Benzino is all his songs got a different feel to em.Like Cash Money for instance almost all of there songs sound the same.I like Cash Money but they do need some different sounding beats. Anyway Ray Benzino has proved thatcats from Boston got skills too.Im feelin pretty much every track on here.My favorite tracksare Who is Benzino,Bang Ta Dis,We Reppen Y'all,Figadoe, and like i said i like em all . So go get The Benzino Project you wont regret it . Peace

Forget the beef, this is what hip hop needs more of.
Ok, so I'll be the first to admit that Benzino shoulda kept quiet about Shady, but on giving this album a listen, I gotta say that this is a damn good CD. What hip hop has been missing since Pac left us is what 'Zino tries to bring back. Sure, he's not exactly a great lyricist, but production is tight, the album gets high points on production, and the guest list of M.C.'s and singers is top notch. "Feel Yo Pain" featuring the Outlaws is probably the high point of the CD, and features some of Benzino's best rhymes. Hip Hop is sorely lacking albums that have more than a couple of songs worth hearing, but "The Benzino Project" is full of songs you will listen to again and again. Hell, unbelievable as it seems, even P. Diddy rips it on the second track. I highly recommend this CD as opposed to 'Zino's second album, which suffered from the sophomore curse of hip hop. THIS IS TRUE HIP HOP! We need more albums of this caliber- its the only thing that can save rap music.

BANG TA DIS
Aight, aight...seems like you either love or hate the Made Men. Whatever your views, after listenin to the Benzino Project it becomes obvious that no matter how you feel, this boy from Boston has some serious heat on this album. The guest features alone pack enough rap and r&b star power to feel up a high-caliber compilation. The Outlawz, Black Rob, Scarface, Snoop Dogg,Foxy Brown, Pink and even Bobby Brown show up on cuts. You would think it'd be easy for Benzino to be overshadowed on his own "project", truth is though that this cat has charisma and he brings it relentlessly from beginning to end. With the single "Boottee" already making noise Benz shows that he can still come gritty on tracks like 'Feel you Pain' and 'Boston Ni@@az'. Basically this album is a banger and Benzino proves hes not playin around with music u can definitely bang to.

Just to let you know....
I can't review this album seriously because I haven't listened to it, but I have to say:If anyone wants to rep Boston, go and buy a Gangstarr album, or a Jazzmatazz album, 'cause the legendary Guru is from Boston and I can't believe that anyone would be able to touch him lyrically ( plus DJ Premier's production is dope too)

Made Men(The Almighty RSO)時代を含めると芸歴は非常に長い。 中盤の目玉曲は(13)"No Parts Of Us"で、ここにはProdigyとBobby Brownが参加。 Bobby Brownは大ネタ"Settle For My Love"使いの(15)"Ghetto Child"でもたっぷり歌を聞かせてくれる。 RaekwonとCormegaを迎えたノリノリな(20)"The Jump Up"、Caseがフックを歌う90年代R&B風の(21)"Shine Like My Son"(なんと息子がラップで参加)と最後まで飽きさせない。
