Had a issue with first mic & returned and got a new one audio is loud & clear for tx & rx . Solid design tried it on my Kenwood tk3180, tk390 & tk380. You can set the orange and black button to do different functions in the software to control the radio. So far pretty happy with the purchase!

Clear on both ends, feels pretty rugged,

I use this on a NX-5400. It’s convenient to have, but I’ve had a lot of issues related to keying out from my end. Half the time it either won’t let out at all, or I come out digital and staticky on the other end. The speaker works well, though. I’ve resorted to just using the hand mic in loud and crowded areas (hoping that I don’t have to actually key up for anything). Really only good for listening because I don’t want to worry if my transmission will go through or not. Tried disconnecting, checking pins and connection, and reconnecting. No change.

When it worked, it worked adequately but broke very quickly for literally no reason.

When using PTT button on speaker/mic, others reported voice communications were coming through very garbled and staticky. Unable to hear and/or understand transmission. Removed and reattached to radio body, transmissions were still garbled and staticky.

Looks good works great for fire radio no Problems so far. Use it everday.

After about 2 hours it would not transmit, only receive. I took it apart and used the plastic casing and clip on my old mic. don't waste your money

As described, works well.Would buy again.
