Sometimes it's best not to mess with a tried-and-true original. The XT Fin uses the original injected molded Monoprene blend from the 1990's, and is the best choice for divers looking for a high performance blade. Identical in shape to our former fin, the XT brings us back to the original Monoprene blend that has been proven and successful for over 20 years. The XT's Monoprene with Monoprene center strip gives rigidity and flexibility for maximum performance with minimum effort, blend offers the best balance of power to work ratio, providing efficient finning in high flow or stiff currents. The blade shape is designed for a wide variety of kicks, including frog kicks, modified flutter and power kicks. The XT are stiff, yet with plenty of snap and are lighter in weight than traditional rubber fins, meaning legs and feet won't cramp even after miles of swimming. The 8.5" (21.6 cm) pliable marine grade stainless steel spring-heel strap allows for quick donning/doffing. A comfort heel pad and convenient, removable pull tab adds to the ease of use. A marine grade stainless steel buckle secures the heel strap to the blade. The stainless steel buckle is a Dive Rite exclusive, and is guaranteed not to crack or break. Easy to use spring fin straps automatically compensates for different size feet and boots. Spring fin straps are depth compensating because they will compress to changes in the thickness of your boots at depth and will decompress upon ascent. Fins are a

Good as tec or rec fins
Great fins, are much like a stiffer and slightly heavier version of my Mares Quatros. I really like them for tec and sidemount or when I need something with a bit more power than my Mares but lighter than my Scubapro Jets. Slightly negatively buoyant but don't sink like rocks like Jets or most heavy tec fins. Be warned, fit was a bit smaller than expected, I'm a 10.5 in US size and wear 3mm boots the Regular in this fin is just a bit snug (borderline uncomfortable). Just be aware. I wear a Regular in Mares fins so I know Regular in Mares is a little bigger than Regular in these. Gave four stars because of the fit, otherwise would be five.

Good for current, spring not adjustable
These are relatively long and stiff *giggity* and work well for strong current (reason I got them). I’ve been able to do any scuba kick I attempt though I’m no ninja. They were a bit long in caves/wrecks if you end up in a room with noobs and they crowd you but otherwise not bad. The military spec jet style seems more maneuverable in tight spaces but I suspect the jet will have less thrust. I own the ScubaPro Twin Jet Max and while I like them too, they have less thrust, but more gentle kicks. Each style seems to be a trade off. The XT is the first fin where my frog kick has been effective but I’m not very flexible so maybe it’s the extra stiffness I needed.Would’ve given 5 stars if the spring strap was adjustable. I think the 2020 model may be adjustable.I’m a men’s size 10 and with a 2mm cressi neoprene shoe it was a bit loose and I got a blister.I tried again with a cressi 7mm neoprene soft boot and it fit well though a bit awkward to remove in water due to the soft boot - just had to pull the spring real good.I just got a pair of Altama “OTB Maritime Assault Fin Friendly Low Cut Operators Boots” and they seem to fit perfectly now (haven’t tried in water yet) with a more firm surface for easier strap removal. I swapped out the laces for an elastic style with no tie as I read it will dry faster.

I love these fins, am so glad I got them!
Love these fins! My Hollis F1s were great for power, but so heavy. I went to these and the difference in weight is great, and no significant loss in power (you mileage may vary). The foot pocket was just right for my DUI rock boots, nice fit.

Great for women
These are best fins that I own by far and I am a scuba instructor. I can move quickly through the water without having to exert tons of energy. Very good for tropical diving
