John Walsh Long Bagpipes Practice Chanter Kit - Includes Practice Chanter, Reed, and Book

This is a nice chanter for a beginner. The tutorial book and video are helpful.

I chose this chanter after reading many reviews. I had a chanter years ago that was short and had small holes. This new Long Chanter has well spaced, counter sunk holes. I feel it is very close to a true bagpipe chanter, so when I attempt the pipes, it will be an easier transition than from a standard practice chanter.

If your going to learn how to play the bagpipes you have to first start out on a practice chanter and this one is an excellent starter. The book and CD that accompanies the chanter is also a good reference for beginners.
